Very nice cozy accommodation. We had great deal through AsiaRooms.com; so the value was excellent. For the price we paid, the room was really nice and clean, the view was beautiful, the service was very attentive, and the meals were good as well. My husband is quite picky about hotels, but he was praising about this hotel until the end of our trip in Sri Lanka.
The minor negatives are: 1) the bathroom didn't have facial tissues; and 2) due to the unpaved winding road, it takes forever to get to the hotel after you reach the Nuwara Eliya area.
We wish we could have stayed one more night to enjoy the beautiful highland.

We had bit difficulty when we check out the Hotel reception asked us a Singapore address. I think this happen due to miss communication happen asiarooms & the hotel hope this will not happen in future.

Ok arrived in May, the road leading up to the hotel is very bad and in desperate need of refurbishment. The hotel staff are polite and attentive and willing to cater for all requirements so long as you pay for them....The best bit was swatting the mosquitoes at night,and then in the morning going out to pick my own tea leaves and processing them to make my own cup of tea!
Buffets and a la cart with the narrow gauge rail car restraunt ( mega bucks for a seven course meal).
The rooms creak only because the hotel is made from the old tea factory it was originally.

The Tea Factory is in a breathtaking location at the end of a 5km unmade road. The interior is unique with the original industrial lift and other factory equipment prominent.
The bedrooms and bathrooms look a little dated but they are spotless and the room boys seem to have a competition to see who can make the biggest impression. Service throughout the hotel was excellent.
The walks around the hotel and tea plantation are lovely and we plucked our own tea from the plantation in the morning and took it home with us the next day.
Definitely recommended for the experience! The only problem is that there is not much to do when it rains.

interesting concept for a hotel and well worth a visit, even if only to experience a cup of tea.
The surrounding area is lovely,and to breath clean air is a luxory after a week of city pollution.
The carriage restuarant is rather expensive but the a la carte menu in the hotel restuarant is good menu with a good choice.
