Hotel value for money
Stayed there from 1 Apr to 4 Apr. This hotel building is abit old, but definitely value for money. Walking to hotel, one will needs about 10 to 15 mins. Breakfast is provided but do not except to much. Hotel staffs are super friendly. Thy provide bicycle if one wants toand also transport to the nearest KRT station on check-out day, but do inform them 1 day earlier.
The only disadvantage is that the rooms are not slient proof hence, can hear the people talking next door. Do not know how to inform them to clean the rooms since there is no signage. Bathroom is abit small. But overall is will recommend this hotel as is near KRT station, shopping malls, night markets.
There is one night market held ONLY on mondays. "Lao Gong Night Market" near Shi Jia Station. Walking there will take about 10 - 15 mins.

Excellent hotel but very far from railway station (40min by walk at least)
Near to many shopping dept stores, night markets and food stands.
Breakfast buffet is mostly for asian people, you can have bread and eggs but not very various.
All the city of Kaohsiung is plenty of food stands so you eat all the day if you like.
Good hotel for 2 or 3 nights stay.

Good Value Hotel
The Sanduo Hotel is well located, only a few blocks from the Sanduo shopping district and the MRT station. The actual hotel is old and the rooms are old but for the price paid, there is little to complain about. Staff on the reception are friendly and cheerful, willing to help with translating names of places. My expectations were fully met and for those wishing to book a room here, have a realistic expectation based on the price. The hotel would be great for the backpackers and those on a tight budget.

Kaohsiung visit April 2011
Its a 10 minutes walk to the nearest MRT station (R8 - Sandou Shopping district station). The city bus stops right in front of hotel.Convenient major shopping centres too. There is a good night market nearby too.
