We were given a small single window...
We were given a small single window room initially, we
show the front desk the internet pictures of the
Deluxe room and were reassigned a larger two window
room. After supper we retired to this room to find
the room heater not working. Not fully sure it was working or not, we contacted the front desk in the early morning (when the room was cold), to be told
by the front desk that we should have contacted them sooner. BS! Overall, we did not find the Shangri-La
a five star hotel. The carpeting was soiled and dirty
looking, customer service was lacking. We found that
both the Sheraton and Westin Taipei were better overall. Don't be fooled by the supposed 5 star rating!
