Although the room was a non-smoking room, it still smelled of cigarette. We tried a few rooms and it was the same. The room was pretty small, and the carpet seemed dirty. The mattress was as hard as the cemented floor, which gave me shoulder and tailbone pain. It was uncomfortable in terms of room and bed. The shops near the hotel were not appealing, and no good food was found near it.
The up sides are the water from the shower was very strong and powerful, good for showering. There is a 24-hr mart just beside the hotel. The train station was near it. The MRT station was about 10 mins walk away, but if you have luggages and want to take the MRT, the 10 mins seemed more like 20 mins.
Breakfast was simple - bacons, fried eggs, porridge, toasted breads. There were limited seats, hence when there are many guests at the breakfast area, you can run a risk not having a seat at all.
