Double Thumbs-Up on All Fronts
We got a fantastic rate for our Deluxe rooms at this hotel thru Asiarooms and stayed for a total of 4 nights. Everything about the hotel had exceeded our expectations, most notably their super excellent service. The staff went out of their way to help me manage my young kid's special dietary request on several occasions. Nothing was too much of a hassle for them despite their skeletal staff force (which required them to multi-task) and their long shift hours. Ad-hoc service calls were also attended to very efficiently. The reception staff spoke fluent English.
The rooms (including the bathroom) were clean, comfortable, of a good size and came with quality furnishing. The complimentary breakfast whilst did not come with a long buffet line, was more than sufficient and quality food was served. I had one of the best showers from my hotel stays at this hotel. The water pressure was strong, there was a rain shower and bathtub and it afforded comfortable showers even in the height of winter. The hotel provides complimentary washing machine and clothes dryer. Although it was located next to a busy intersection, the noise insulation from its external environment was very good but they could improve on the noise insulation coming from the neighbouring rooms and the corridors though to us this was hardly an issue.
Walking to the MRT stations may require some effort but taxis are cheap and aplenty. They can get to you most places of interest within city centre between NT$80 - NT$150. Many cheap seafood joints are found near the hotel but they tend to get really crowded and noisy on weekends. Despite the large crowd, food gets served promptly.
