Value for Money stay
good place to stay, good location for shopping.
except one comment:
we came back from shopping around midnight, thought we can have drinks and rest at B1 level which we used to do that for the past few trips. but this time round chase away by the Hotel staff (Male staff). I feel not very friendly in this area.

Disappointing stay
I had read a number of reviews of the Yomi Hotel and felt positive about staying there....before I actually reached the hotel. Comparing the Yomi Hotel to the hotel in Hanoi that I had just left...the Yomi Hotel was twice as expensive and half the quality. The breakfast was a great disappointment...had a youth hostel feel to it. The walls behind the food were dirty and splashed and never cleaned during our stay. The breakfast itself was of low quality and toast and jam seemed to be the best bet.
As for the room, the bed was hard as a rock....I asked if a padding could be provided. ONE was...so I guess my wife didn't count. A foam pad was left in the room....we had to put it under the sheets and tuck things in. Hey, that's fine, but I would think it would be reasonable to expect a good-service hotel to do that for us. I asked at the desk if a second foamy could be provided and the next day it was and it was on the bed. The room itself was ok...nothing particularly special...somewhat old and somewhat rundown.
There was a gym of sorts....a treadmill in a small room which would not be an attractive place to exercise. Also there was an availability of a computer.
The location of the hotel seemed to be fine with the MRT subway system close by and a number of restaurants in the area.

Overall room and services is good except elder receptionist need to smile more and be helpful.Room come with two TV set .Breakfast is ok. Our room come with a steam room inside the toilet. There should be a notice to teach people how to use the steamer eg at what degrees is harmful or what degrees is the right temperature. Basement can improve by installing air freshner.Free internet and other free services are the reason I choose this hotel.Taking a cab from Taipei Main station to hotel cost Nt90 dollars and taking a bus (in front of Ambassador hotel) to airport which is a short walk from Yomi hotel cost NT90 for adult and NT45 for children.Nevertheless, I will still stay here if I visit Taipei again.

Clean, Good Location, Cheap
The room was actually a loft, located at the building beside "yomi hotel". The hotel staff were very friendly and they gave us a "prize" for staying at their hotel. It wasn't much, but it was still nice to receive something after checking-out. The room/bathroom were clean and housekeeping kept them that way during our entire stay. The wifi connection was disappointing but I didn't care much, why go on vacation if you'll just be using the internet? The room had a stove, a huge fridge, 2 flat-screen TV's, 2 air-conditioners, a safe, and lots of storage place for luggage. I didn't use much of their facilities but I saw that they had 2 computers for the guests, a gym, and wii for rent. Their breakfast was not the best but it was okay. They had a variety of beverages (hot and cold) and there was a mix of western and oriental cuisine. The location was perfect because the MRT station, grocery, and restaurants were all within walking distance. I definitely recommend "yomi hotel" for all travelers.

great value for the price!
At Yomi Hotel (Taipei) we had a great experience from beginning to end. It was so easy, we took a bus from the airport and it left us one block away from the hotel. It is centrally located. There were restaurants and markets all around and the main subway was just two blocks away. The service was courteous and helpful. The room was nicely decorated with a nice queen side bed. Everything we needed was there. They were helpful to the last minute. A great deal for the price. I highly recommend it!

YOMI HOTEL, TAIPEI
Location of hotel is convenient, but hv to cross a few roads, dragging yr lugguage. Along the way to hotel will pass by many convenient stores, like Watson's, Family Mart, etc. and food stalls. Htl room is comfortable, even for a triple sharing rm and breakfast variety is acceptable. Convenient place to stay and value for money.

A Yeo
Don't just look at the exterior of the hotel which does not equate to the warmth and friendliness inside. Yomi is located 2 streets away from Shuanglian MRT station. Very convenient. Many eating places in the neighbourhood of Yomi, some operate in the day, whilst others are catering to the night business. Many convenience stores around so you can really do your last minute shopping of instant noodle (with real meat inside) to bring home. We had the triple bed room which is superb. Beds are comfortable and clean. The in room sauna and Japanese style bath tub is a bonus to us especially after a long day of shopping and eating. In our room, there are 2 plasma TV and DVD players - so generous. Room is clean and all amenities are refilled. Breakfast is a little disappointing. There is no food refill after 9.30am, and food is rather cold. Not to worry, there are many food available outside hotel. Food in Taipei is rather inexpensive and worth the while to try. All staff are very courteous, caring and show genuine warmth. Front desk staff are eloquent in English and Japanese conversation. Always smiling despite their business attending to guests. In the night, at the right of the hotel, there are many night activities going on, like night clubs, etc. Overall, it is very safe to walk and have supper or a hair cut at late hours. Though this is my first experience at Yomi, we will definitely go back again in our next visit - convenience, friendliness, caring, value for money, and safe.

It`s a love Hotel !
It was a good location and good value for money (see other reviews). It took us two weeks but near the end we realized this is a love hotel, ie a place you can rent by the hour. At least some of the customers are there for a couple of hours only. Telltale signs, the maid is making up rooms at 9 PM at night, ignoring the non-smoking sign on our floor but the absolute worst were the "suspicious" noises coming the rooms at odd hours - I don't want to listen to other people being intimate. Another indication it is a love hotel sign, the small parking area of the hotel has a large plastic awning/sheet which effectively hides the cars (and the identity of the owner) from the street. There is "doorman" waiting outside who presumably let's you park and tells you if you there is room or not. The front staff confirmed to me you can rent the rooms by the hour. Not sure if this is usual for Taipei to mix regular clients and those who only need the room for a few hours. I can assure you I have never seen this after 6 years in Japan and 6 in HK and China. The walls are built in such a way that you can hear the people in the next I room. Before we realized the hotel's status of a love hotel, we complained about the noise (such as shouting and talking loudly) - for example a woman taking a shower and shouting while having a conversation with a man in another part of the room a 5 AM in the morning. The front desk did not do anything or take action to shut them up. Possibly would stay again because of the value for money but would not hesitate to complain about smoke or loud "noises" coming from the next room.
