Enjoyed my stay at the Shin Shih...
Enjoyed my stay at the Shin Shih (xin shi, for all you hanyu pinyin folks), very convenient, clean and friendly. Only a few minutes easy walk from the Red Line MRT and Taoyuan airport shuttle. Quick and easy internet access (bring your own telephone cords if you are not wireless yet.) Older building but remodeled nicely, newly tiled bathroom with glass tile accents and a claw foot bath, great shower with almost instant hot water. Only drawback in the bathroom, no towel racks to hang wet towels after a shower. Breakfast, well, not that great but adequate with a variety of breads for toasting, a good coffee maker, eggs, ham, veggies and Chinese porridge and soup, oh, and fresh flowers. My room was on the small side. Great service, very helpful, quick registration and check-out. I'll definitely stay there again.
