The service staff in the hotels are awesome! They are very approachable and willing to help. Receptionists and breakfast staff value-added to my trip experience with their ultimate friendliness.

Helpful staff; convenient location
Very nice people work at the reception: they did their best to make our stay comfortable and memorable (thanks so much to you guys, you're the best!). The hotel policies could be adjusted to make it more customer-friendly though: for instance, they were not able to give us one more blanket though we asked for it a number of times; and they were not able to provide us with a lunchbox when we had to leave early in the morning for a sightseeing tour.
The hotel has a good location for those who want to check out the night markets of Taipei and get some truly local flavour. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's close to the MTR and not far from the National Palace Museum. However, if you want to get more partying/ shopping then you'd rather be staying more in the Taipei 101 area.

The 2 frontdesk customer service officers are polite and won us praises. The man standing outside the hotel is rather 'extra'. I suppose he is a bellboy or something but he just stood at the valet stand when he saw us. maybe that there is so much traffic that he do not know we are hotel guest, he only approach us when he saw us getting down from the taxi and with our luggages, Im sure he is smart, pulled the big luggage for us but did not helped us in carrying 1 big haversack and 2 big plastic bags (goodies). Maybe Im expecting too much but for the price im paying, its too much. $200 a night in Taipei city, its expensive.

Great Grandee
We were upgraded from the Standard to Deluxe room and we loved the room! Space was compact with necessary furniture. Bathroom was spacious with a deep bathtub. Towels and bedsheets were changed everyday. Very thoughtful and hygienic! No frills and crowds so we enjoyed the privacy. We do not see more than 10pax in the morning during our simple breakfast. No more than 2 guests at the recept (always 2 staff to serve you). Staff was friendly and pretty. Checking in and out was quick. We feel very safe in the hotel even though it does not have a security safe. Tucked next to Shilin market, it was surprisingly quiet and accessible to various public transport. Slightly pricey however it's worth the value.

The hotel exceeds me and my friend's...
The hotel exceeds me and my friend's expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, convenience and service. Definitely a stay that will complete your trip. The shilin night market is just across the road; we popped over nightly after our shopping at Taipei 101, ximentjng and wefenpu. The night market offers a very wide variety of items at the cheapest price compared to the places mentioned earlier. What better way to end your nights than to feast on the night market snacks: Hao Da Da Ji Pai, Chou Tou Fu, bubble tea, Black Pepper Bun, yum! The train station is only a five minute walk from the hotel n that brings you to ximentjng, Taipei 101, beitou hotspring, Danshui old town etc etc. The La Ba Zi steamboat is only a fifteen min walk away, if you are into super spicy soup. The service is excellent, they greet you with a slight bow each time, always with a welcoming smile. No bellboy service though so you have to bring up your luggage. Hotel security is good. This hotel is me and my friend's first choice should we return to Taipei. The value is worth more than the price you pay!
