how disappointing!
The location is good, but remote from sukhumvit main road. A tuktuk service is supposed to be available but the people there always tell customers that they have to wait for the driver to arrive, always supposed to show within 15mn but never showing. everything is like this: the hotel is supposed to be 5 stars, but the service is really poor. No umbrella can be lended to customers when it's raining. No tuktuk. When you check in, you are offered a coconut juice but no refreshing towel, and the drink arrives after you have stood in front of the desk for a while.
The hotel is nice looking but quite spartian. Rooms furniture is ok in the colonial way but they could provide sofas instead of hard wood bench. When walking upstair to the rooms, you get in front of a huge collection of dead coachroaches and other ugly insects. Is that supposed to be a nice decoration? Why not butterflies instead? Also, no mattress on the swimming pool chairs (well, I suppose they would give you one if you ask). Nice garden around the swimming pool, but when it rains, you cannot reach the thai-style pavillion because the water is not properly evacuated. Breakfast quite good.
All in all, nice hotel but by no means up to the standard of Relais & Chateau or 5 stars hotel. Would be OK for 40-50€, not 100.
