Location is very convenience. It takes 5 mins by foot from hotel to BTS. 7-11 is surronding the hotel. Although room facilities seems old, it can work. Buffet Breakfast is OK. I will recommended it to budget travellers.

over all it is good atmosphere to stay in Bangkok. In the old block the rooms are prety old looking but for the price one pays it is ok.The utilities kept in the rooms are chrged more using the weakness of the guest who lazy around munching and drinking in the room.

The hotel is 5 minutes away from the BTS Nana station. The area surrounding the hotel consist of mainly tailor shops. The hotel lobby looks great but the room floors are dark and gloomy. The concierge service was something to complaint about as they were not attentive. The breakfast was average.

The room was clean and although I reserved a single room, I had a double with two twin beds. One of the good things for international tourists is that there is an Internet Cafe just across from the hotel (in the same building but you need to cross a driveway, not a street) and it has PCs that are compatible with various languages. So, if you have a Web mail (like hotmail) account, it is convenient to access your account. They charge 1 Baht/minute.

We stayed in several hotels in Bangkok and within the price range this was easily the best.(In fact the room and common areas were generally better than hotels costing 50% more) The morning breakfast buffet was good.

My son stayed at the Ambassador but I am reporting his comments. The room he had this time was not as nice as the room he had on an earlier trip. I too have stayed at the Ambassador and was very pleased with my room.

I will allways stay at the Ambassador when I go to Thailand. The rooms, hall ways are in need of upgrading, especially the bath rooms. However, the other facilities and the staff more than make up for the shortfalls in this area. I have always enjoyed the Ambassador and will again as soon as possible.

For a 3star hotel, it is not that bad. They are in good location that is very near to the skytrain which is convience to reach certain places.
