Asia is good for budget traveller. Hotel come with Clean sheets and pillows which is very impt considering the hotel is considered "old". Hope they maintain this standard. Note bathroom lighting is too dim and no hair conditioner provided. Convenient location esp linked to skytrain which is definitely a plus point. The minus point is Asia Hotel does not have much security in place - too many people in and out without much hazzles. I noticed bellhops or porters are not too helpful in helping guests who need taxis to airport. They are only interested in using their inhouse "Hotel Taxi service", unless Novotel, their bellhops or porters are ever ready for help.
Anyway I will still consider Asia for my next booking or recommend my friends to it.

We stayed at Asia hotel 2 nts.end of October 2004.Very good value for money , room very clean , food excelent , B.T.S attached to hotel wonderful, sitting at the bar watching the world walk by is a must , found staff typically Thai. very friendly and helpful . Will stay again when we visit in October.

I had the opportunity to stay at Asia Hotel-Bangkok and Asia Hotel-Airport and I was very happy with the service and friendliness of the staff. I felt the hotels were the best value for the price. I will definitely recommend these hotels to my family and friends. My next visit to Thailand will surely include a stay at one of the Asia Hotels. Thank You!

Stayed in Asia hotel when i was there in late may to shop.. a really convenient place.. tried walking from pratunum market back to asia, and it's was quite ok..only minus points are ----> it's pretty old and there's no electric boiler.. didn't really like the bathroom.. =) otherwise it's ok.. the bed's really comfy..
oh.. and the housekeeping's staffs are pretty efficient! thumbs up..
p.s actually taking the tuk tuk could save us some cash cause the BTS can be much more expensive then the tuk tuk.. =)
Asia hotel offers value for money accommodation....
Asia hotel offers value for money accommodation. it's centrally located and the link to the BTS means u're protected from the heat and the rain. do u know that u can a 10 baht discount on a all-day BTS pass if u purchase it from the hotel! room and breakfast are so-so but it doesn't really matter cos little time is spent in the room! i will definitely stay there again on my trip to bangkok!

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at Asia Hotel. The great selling point of the hotel is its location with the skytrain right in front which makes travelling very easy. The room is big and comfortable. Our only compliant is that it smells of cigarette smoke. The breakfast can certainly be improved in terms of quality and variety. The reception staff is courteous and helpful.

Very good location - very accessible to places like siam sq, formerly known as wtc, mbk, chatuchak mkt. Skytrains are very affordable and are readily linked to the shopping centres.
Food wise - breakfast are rather good. Services like the tea/coffee crew are rather good. we didnt quite like the hostess at the crystal coffee. her attitude needs working on ... especially towards asians. otherwise, food and services at the various restaurants are good. saigon - good on both food & svc. great wall - not too bad either. didnt try the others.
Lift ladies/guys are very polite and they make the stay more pleasant.
just besides the Asia hotel on its left, there are small cafes and a 7-11. if walk further down passing the 7-11, try this small thai restaurant. there are 2 side by side, so the one i'm referring to is the 1st one. food is very good and very affordable. i love their spring rolls!!
for massages wise, didnt try. but those outsides of the hotel are much cheaper.

Definitely the bargain in town. Friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, an abundant breakfast buffet that makes lunch needless, a rooftop poolarea with a 6 m2 lawn nice to relax after a hectic day of siteseeing. The biggest convinience of all, no other place has to offer is clearly the location with direct access to the skytrain. This wasn't our first stay in Bangkok but the first in a place we realy enjoyed at Asia Hotel.

The Asia hotel is at a great location... next to a sky train station and 10 minutes from the MBK shopping complex. The lady at the lift is very friendly and brings a smile to my face with her numerous badges. The hotel's tour desk is across the reception desk. It pays to look around for price of tours/excursions first... they do tend to charge a slightly higher fee for the same tour.
