Initially disappointed with the room as appeared...
Initially disappointed with the room as appeared a little worn. Feel refurbishment is required...10 years old now....but the service is unequalled. All the staff are so friendly and helpful,felt at home very quickly. Spa experience fabulous. Food fabulous. Would definitely stay here again, refurbishment or no refurbishment.
One negative to mention...the sign outside entrance states no backpackers,sandals,etc....not particularly welcoming...does not fit its friendly,welcoming ambience.

There is no other way to describe this hotel than utterly fantastic! It was the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and I'd certainly go back. The rooftop bar and restaurant is something not to miss! It's gorgeous and the staff are as attentive as they could possibly be! I'd highly reccommend this hotel and the Asiarooms.com rate is the way to go - we paid around 1/6 of the rack rate!

i have a wonderful 8 nights at the Banyan Tree Bangkok. The service and facilities were outstanding and i look forward to returning sometime soon.

Great hotel as ever, great location and...
Great hotel as ever, great location and very friendly people. However when I booked the room I asked for a non smoking room with a king size bed. When we reached our room we fould out that it was asmoking room with twins beds. Premium suites are suppose to have the facility of a late check out till 4pm, this turned out not to be. We ended up paying for the Banyan Tree Club facilities which enables us to check out at 5pm. We did not however receive all facilites of the Banyan Tree Club, e.g there was no fresh flowers in the room and no luxury fruit basket, no choice of newspapers. Overall great hotel and will look forward to seeing it again once all the bedrooms have been refurbished as they are looking a bit dated. Carpets in the main areas of the hotels were all stained and could be doing with being cleaned though.

We had a fantastic time at the Hotel. The room was quite spacious and have very good facilities. The staff was very polite and the people at concierge and the bell boys were very courteous, happy and cheerful. The evening highlights at the Vertigo bar on the 64th floor were FABULOUS!!!!! Didn't get enough of it and we are coming back again.
In total it was a great stay and we felt a little sad leaving the place....

The Banyan Tree is a great hotel, worth upgrading to the club membership that gives you free access to the club lounge and a club breakfast room. Staff were first class.

The Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok is lovely - good decor and generally good service.
We had a wedding ceremony there are were a bit disappointed.Paid over £250 for a 20 minute ceremony which was not explained to us and then a further £120 for a dinner where we were given a set menu without consultation. As I don't like spicy food I ended up going to bed hungry. As we arranged it last minute the staff did try to help but it was a bit of a disappointment and with a little more communication could have been perfect.
The hotel photographer provided pictures but really they were no better than the snaps which a member of the hotel staff took for us - again a bit of a let down.
We wanted a massage and a bit of pampering before the wedding but could not get an appointment and no one pointed out that we needed to prebook.
I think I expected them to pull out the stops for us on this special day but we were treated as any other guests albeit adequately.
