I was impressed by the room I had, it was clean, and well stocked. The staff was pleasant and helpful. And though I expected to see a business center, the internet hookups at the Gido's was great, buy one drink for 30 minutes of internet use. If there was a negative it was the closet was a bit small and there was not enough drawer space. The buffet breakfast selection was adequate and fresh and tasty. The room was good sized, I am 185 cm tall and having a king sized bed was great especially the way they prepared the sheets at the feet, I have never seen anything like that. Extra fold at the feet so they won't get squished. I loved it. The bathroom was good sized, and the shower was great, the shower head was actualy about 200 cm and the water pressure was great. The hotel is located about 5 walk from the Ratchapisek station of the Subway. Most maps make it seem it is closer to the Sutthisan station, it is NOT, like a 10 minute difference in walking. I like the fact the AC is on all the time at whatever temperature you left it at. Other hotels shut it off when you leave the room with the key. The hotel seems to be in the midst of updating its decor though you could hardly notice it. 2 of the 4 elevators have newer updated decor. I was on the 6th floor and a friend stayed on the 15th floor, he arrived later in the week. His room's decor was different, not quite as updated and he said his bathroom was not well stocked. And the best thing is that you don't hear your neighbor. No water pipe noise or toilet noise and very little hallway noise. There are no other "nice" restaurants in within a few minutes walking distance. I did not get a chance to try all the restaurants. There is a small Family Mart 30 meters from the front door, if you want snacks or water or whatever. And the massage prices at the spa in complex are reasonable. Overall, for the price it was a great place to stay. I have stayed at the Amari Atrium hotel, Le Meridien Plaza Athenee' hotel, Emerald Hotel and Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel. All are 4 star plus hotels. I would rate the Chaophya Park Hotel just behind the Le Meridien Plaza Athenee' Hotel on overall quality.
