Services were great at Front desk and...
Services were great at Front desk and restaurant. Buffet Dinner is served till 12am which you still can savor after late nite shopping, however, foods can be further improved.. Lack of bathroom amenities, should at least include toothbrush and comb for those short stay travelers.

An elegant hotel with comfortable large rooms...
An elegant hotel with comfortable large rooms with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The only item I missed was a hair-dryer! A good buffet breakfast and excellent service. Ideally situated near Carrefour and Robinson shopping centres and 8 minute's walk to the nearest skytrain station. A good fish restaurant immediately over the bridge on the other side of Ratchadapisek Street. The entertainment centres were discreet and unlikely to upset families with young kids. All in all a very good hotel in a very covenient location.

service is ok ! But cannot ask...
service is ok ! But cannot ask for massage service into guest room unlike others hotels are available ! Go and get a massage lady from outside,hotel request me to pay extra 1000 bht to bring the lady in for massage ! I had found other countries guests from Singapore , Malaysia and countries near by was able to bring lady back to hotel for overnight but did not ask to pay extra even a cent! Laundry Charge for 4 t-shirt and 4 jeans was 1100 bht was almost the same charge as five star hotel ! Internet Broadband is bad and high charge !

The bed was hard , the room...
The bed was hard , the room was ok...but the staff was rude and unfriendly. Even though I prepaid through asiarooms.com , upon check in The Emerald required a credit card deposit equal to our three night stay...which could not be applied to our room charges & has still not been released backed to my cc over 4 weeks after my check out date! I got nickeled and dimed to death & at the end of it all I honestly felt ripped off!! The mini bar was outrageous, the bar expensive & the in room internet service was slow & definately not worth the $30 US a day. With all the great places to stay in Bangkok I would never waste another night at The Emerald!

in the current situation, with domestic flights...
in the current situation, with domestic flights now moving back to Don Muang, the location between the 2 airports is excellent. Location otherwise is still convenient for shopping/eating/whatever. Always been good value for money.

The Emerald Hotel strictly caters to Chinese...
The Emerald Hotel strictly caters to Chinese group tours which makes business travellers like us staying in Executive Suite and paying high dollars be treated like a common tourist and neglected. The breakfast is inadequate and is not replenished after 9am leaving guests with very limited choices. Check in and out is very lengthy and the staff very inefficient. Although the hotel has Americans and Europeans in the hotel senior management, they are not adequately trained to run this hotel with tons of group tourists. Rooms and linen are showing aging. The bellboys were very friendly and courteous. They need to improve to bring back the business travellers.

Good stay and good value for money,...
Good stay and good value for money, convenient to travel by MRT to other parts of BKK. Would love to have free internet service, as the 600baht unlimited 24 hrs use is quite expensive. The breakfast could have been that at the 1st storey and not that at 2nd storey which have limited food varieties
