This is the 6th time I have...
This is the 6th time I have stayed at the Emerald Hotel. To say the least I like staying here in general. Though this visit, I noticed that the grout in the bathroom was stained with mold or mildew and I ended up with a cold at the end of my trip which happens to me when there is a mold or mildew in the bathroom. I have already contacted the hotel directly about this problem. I could not switch rooms since it was the last of the rooms with a king sized bed. I am 185 cm tall I like a big bed. I have had the breakfast buffet both on the 14th floor and in the coffee shop and to say the least both are similar in quality and flavor. The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the MRTA subway and a 12-15 minute ride to the Sukhumvit station. The Thai food in the coffee shop is quite good and reasonably priced. And the staff is quite pleasant and helpful.

Service: they are charging for friends whom...
Service: they are charging for friends whom visited me after mid-nite for 600 bhat, which they stay for an hour or so. I think thats too much. they should be charging for visitor whom ain't stay for the whole nite.

Mostly satisfied! If any, the opening time of coffee lounge (I don't remember the name....) is too late. I remember it is maybe 10am? I wish, at least 9am!!!! Never mind, just on me! Thank you!

Good breakfast, Problems with electronic room key but I am sure only temparary. Good location for early flights out of Bangkok. Helpful business centre. Will stay again.

The Emerald is a nice hotel. The location is great, near the MRT, a market and shopping centres. Room and services are good. The only complaint is that the breakfast was really horrible and unacceptable. There were not so many choices of food. The table was dirty and not appropriate for family with children. The staffs were strange and unfriendly. That should really be improved because it’s actually not suitable for this good hotel. However, it’s a good value for the price!

I enjoyed my stay for four nights...
I enjoyed my stay for four nights at the hotel. Could not fault room (exectutive suite)tv should have been bigger and a dvd player would have been appropiate for a suite of this size, did not manage to have the breakfast ,but the lobby bar was ok to relax ,could not fault the staff. A bit out of the way for central nightlife or shopping, and the taxi drivers in this location are not as good with english language as in other more tourist (farang) friendly locations (ie ...sukumvit,pratunam etc) but i would recommend this hotel to any business traveller (more value for standard of room than in the more central locations)... Would stay here again if location was a bit nearer the city centre ...

I enjoyed my stay at the Emerald....
I enjoyed my stay at the Emerald. It was very good value and not too far from the heart of Bangkok. It was also very convenient for the Airport. A very nice hotel that I would use again if in Bangkok.
