Good hotel, luxurious entrance hall, good breakfast, friendly personal. Superirior/ Standardrooms are ok but not really special. Good bar with good entertainment (life bands), health club is ok. I can recommend.

it is a good hotel and good location , because the new MRTA Huai Khwang station is very near it , oyu can use it going to more place

Hotel is ideal for travelers who are...
Hotel is ideal for travelers who are looking for a quiet location and place to rest after long day/night out. This hotel is situated in a nice part of town in an old style building , away from hustle of midtown , right on corner of Thai Cultural Center. The Room was very new and its own bathroom!! the beds are really comfy, ideal if all you want is a great sleep after sightseeing all day.

This hotel is absolutly fabulous ! Probably the hotel with the most wellcoming personal. Service is great, room are very clean and people working there is always smiling. If I return in Bangkok, my choice of hotel will remain the same.

This hotel was everything you would expect...
This hotel was everything you would expect a 5 star to be. Lovely rooms and good service. The staff are very friendly. It is located closer to the airport than town so good for a short stay but the main road outside can get very busy during rush hour with long waits in taxis. Would stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel, with polite personnel and very good facilities. There are several good restaurants and the evening entertainment is excellent.

Overall - Very Good Stay
I have been staying in this hotel for every trips I made to Bangkok. The hotel is close to BTS as well as shopping area (Robinson). The journey to and fro between the hotel and airport is relatively fast as it avoid the main city area. Service level of the staff has improved since we stayed there years ago.

Solvent smell
They tried to put me into a room on the floor they were renovating. The carpet was old and dirty and the room had an extremely strong toluene solvent smell. I rejected that room and was put into another room with less but still had solvent smell. The beds and pillows are old and lousy. The internet charges are a ripoff. Poor value for money compared to good boutique hotels in Bangkok. The Emerald is close to a concentration of large massage parlors.
