Our check in went smoothly, except we...

Our check in went smoothly, except we had a bit of problem with regards to the 2 additional breakfast coupons which they did not give until we proved that we had paid for it even then they still wanted to counter caeck with your side. The breakfast layout was fairly good. The room that we requested we did not get ie 2 rooms wit double beds. Instead they gave us 1 room with double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. The towels in the bath room seem to be old and not very clean. The air con control in one of the rooms was jammed and we had to switch off an on agsain when it got too cold. Overall the Hotel was value for what we paid for as this is the third time we are staying there. Thanks for your help. Thomas

The hotel's location is very convenient where...

The hotel's location is very convenient where we can go to Patunam and Chatuchat and also MBK. Hotel is clean as I stayed at the Superior room in the tower block. Overall I am very happy with the hotel. Staff are courteous.

We requested for a queen or king...

We requested for a queen or king size bed but was give 2 single bed. Recept did not even notify us about it till we check into the room to realise it. We had to go back down to the recept to check on the room arrangement. The recept should have just inform us when we check in that it will only be available on the following day. Overall, i would rate the service staff 2/5 as they are not proactive and attentive to guests needs. Even to dail a local call they direct us to the public phone, how ridiculous is that? Room has a bad smell but it is clean.

The location is great, hotel staff service are prompt and good though the rooms at the Main Wing are abit run-down esp their bathroom (no dryer). Will try the rooms at the Tower Wing during my nxt visit.

The room facility is not I expected...

The room facility is not I expected before , what I prefer is more luxury and good decoration in rooms. But the service is OK but not so perfect. There are no brouchers in room about the sightseeing around Bangkok and no service guide about food and culture. But overall is good.

After a ten years gap, I booked...

After a ten years gap, I booked myself with First Hotel again. To my surprise the lady captain or manager at the coffee house could still recognize me when I walked in for my breakfast one morning, and that I was given a very warm reception by her like an old friend! According to her the Hotel has changed from a Thai to Singaporean owner and had since gone through a major renovation to upgrade facilities. I stayed on the main wing as the room at that wing of the hotel was on offer, but I think most of the upgrade was done to their tower wing instead, as the facilities at the main wing are a bit on the older side. However, everything is functioning and the bed’s linen is comfortable and clean; and with the great rate on offer there is nothing to compliant about. From the reception to the house keeping and the coffee house, the employees are friendly and helpful! I will be back again the next time and will recommend First Hotel to traveler on a budget who are looking to stay in the city longer. The value on offer of this hotel and its great location at the wholesale fashion district of Pratunam is not to be missed

There was a bad smell to the...

There was a bad smell to the room, the bed sheet was not clean. the bathroom was run down and the heater was out of control, giving out hot water 1 moment n freezing water the other.

Thanks for following up! I had few...

Thanks for following up! I had few great nights (5 nights) in First Hotel, i think the room and everything are really good, but one thing which i see there is improvement, which is the room facilities (for ex; towels & hair dryer). As for the towel, it's not sufficient or replace with a new ones once it has taken to laundry. And for the hair dryer, we got to call up every time when i need it (i use hair dryer every day & night), yes, the service is graceful, every time when i called, it will reach within 10mins, but somehow, it does brings the inconvenient to the customers. Hope you would consider this. Thanks.

I was most disappointed with the rooms....first...

I was most disappointed with the rooms....first room they gave us the toilet was so small that when we arise from the toilet seat our heads would bump against the basin....the toilet was that close to the wash basin...the carpets were filthy and the towels were grey instead of white.In both rooms the shower did not work properly. They had a double bed in it with one bedside lamp. The second romm was a bit better...only slightly... The front desk staff was formidable..we asked for a late check-out (2-30pm) and when my husband went to pay them at 2-10 pm, they refused to allow him back to our bedroom... they sent the porter up to help me bring our luggage down alone..as if they did not trust us...and our flight was at 6-00pm. I said never again will I recommend anyone to book at that hotel

Everything about the First Hotel is good,...

Everything about the First Hotel is good, its a very friendly Hotel with very good food and cheap accommodations. The location is great for shopping as it is no more than 5 minutes walk from the big stores and shopping centre's in Bangkok. What I like most is that whatever you ask the Hotel to do for you they will try to do. We have used the First Hotel for 10 years now and never had a complaint. Mr Adrian & Mrs Rudeewan Gray .UK
