My galfriend and i stayed at first...
My galfriend and i stayed at first house for 2 nights.. 1st night we were given a smoking room on the rear tower.. we need to take 2 lifts and walk a distance to reach the room.. its quite troublesome.. on the next night we requested for a room on the main tower.. Main tower rooms are much bigger and nicer.. the bed is bigger and room more furnished.. there's even a radio speaker.. i would say staying here is value for money.. dun forget the location too.. Pratunam is just downstairs.. i'll come back to stay at the hotel soon.. Thanks for the great service..

We arrived at First House Hotel on...
We arrived at First House Hotel on Sunday evening (March 5, 2006) about 09.30 AM, and I think we enjoyed stay there. But I want complain about a Receptionist attitude who is duty in front desk when we first time to check in. That man is very rough or arrogant. We are very-very unconvenience because he like policeman and no smile. “Where your passport”, “Put your passport each in the desk”, Please sign all of you (six person) in the application” , “Your credit card for deposits for extra bed” etc. I was shocked with his attitude and service. Because before Bangkok we went to Singapore (3 days) dan Kualalumpur (3 days), no deposits for extra bed and only 1 sign needed at the hotel application in that country, so I truly angry with him. He was treated us likes terrorist or thiefs. I think he is not compatible or suitable as a hotel receptionist. When we watch the Cabaret Show in Bangkok, the artist/singer say that Bangkok, the land of smile, the land of fund. But according to my opinion, Bangkok is nice for fun and sight seeing but not for shopping and communication. Because in three days at Bangkok we not found smile, at the shop/store, at the hotel etc. Thank’s for your attention. rc

Services; The lobby staffs are friendly and helpful, as well as the housekeppers. However, there only a bell boy perform under average services. Facilities; There doesn't much facilities at the hotel. The hotel management should proposed lobby music lounge, upgrade the Massage Ctr and Lobby Cafe. Amenities; The amenities rated good, as the hotel are surrounded by wholesales market, shopping center, eating corner and so on. I would say we will choose The First House Hotel for our next visit. Thanks you.

i stayed there for 4 nights and...
i stayed there for 4 nights and i must say that the room is definitely value for money. with pratunam market just beside us and lots of road side stalls (the food is so much more delicious than the foodcourts/resaurants) and walking distance to the wtc & erawan shrine, i can hardly find any reasons to complain! full of good comments. my friend who stayed there with me says that the standards of the room and service are comparable to the 4 star grand china princess in chinatown. only thing bad is that they dun serve 2 bottles of drinking water daily. but fret nt, there is a 7-11 nearby of walking distance of 2 min. can pop by to buy 5 litre of water and can last for 2-3 days for 2 pax. rem to bring along travel adaptor okay? they dun have the kinda of adaptor for our plugs. if u forget, can just go over to pantip plaza to buy. 50 baht only. hope u find the review useful!

I was already warned through online reviews about the features, location, etc of the hotel. So let's just say I expected the worst. But actually it was quite a good deal. I guess my family and I were lucky we got an okay room, when I heard some others have smelly rooms. But in general, the location is quite ideal. The breakfast mediocre but still fills you up. The walk to the main road to catch cabs is quite short, unless you're lucky one passes by during your short walk. And what's ideal is that it's right next to the Pratunam Market and close to the newly-opened Platinum Mall which I'm sure would be known soon for a must for shoppers.

As per last review, the room was good enough, and the location is one of the best for it's price. Would recommend those taking the new wings to request for floors with sky corridors leading to the new wings.

The rooms are a little 'tired', but very good value all the same. Great location - right in the middle of the markets! Good breakfast each day. Staff are friendly, and helpful. Just watch out for the taxi booking from the front of the hotel...get a meter taxi, much cheaper. Otherwise, good place to stay.

Service at the hotel was great. Rooms...
Service at the hotel was great. Rooms were spacious and in all, what was written on the internet was what I got when i arrived! The only thing is there were bed bugs in two of my friends' rooms so the first thing one will have to do is check the bedsheet and pillows before sleeping. The hotel is right behind the pratunam market, so its very convenient to find food and do great shopping, however its difficult to find a taxi and most of the taxi and tuk tuk drivers do not know the location of First House. It is advisable to get a thai translation of the hotel name so you can show it to the drivers.
