Great Hotel Great Location
We again had a wonderful time at the Indra Regent Hotel, We have stayed here at least 8 times and always to back there when in Bangkok, It is the best place for shopping for clothes, There is a morning market in the streets around the hotel from 4.30am to 9.am. then a night market from 6pm. to approx 11pm. and heaps of market type shopping all day in the immediate area. There is also the Indra Square shopping in the building. It is a very comfortable hotel, with a great buffet breakfast, (They make great omlets) Staff are very friendly and helpful, from this hotel you can catch the no. 77 bus out the front to go the the Chutuchuck (Weekend Market) and just across the road you can catch bus 204 to china Town and MBK if you ask as reception they will write you destination in Thai for you to show the bus ticket collector. Also across the road bus 77 and 504 will take you to Patpong Road. So easy to get around.
as for getting back to the airport just walk down the road a short way about 5 mins and you get to the skytrain, go up in the lift and buy a token just 40 baht ($1.33AUD) It stops right under the airport just go up in the lift and you are in the Departure lounge.
