Hi, I hope that this feedback will be...
Hi, I hope that this feedback will be taken as positive and implement it immediately because it cost nothing to start with except organize and supervision on it. I asked for the no smoking room during my request, and on entering the room, it smell terrible tobacco. I informed the receptionist to get the room service to spray the room and I went for lunch and came back after an hour, and all they did was open the windows??? I can do this myself but what we want is the smell of the tobacco that stains on the curtain and room walls and even the bed and pillows smells strong tobacco. What we want is just a decent smell of aroma spray that can eliminate the strong tobacco smell, thats all, so, do it for the shake of non smokers like us, thank you for your attention,do it. All others are good for the budget travelers except one more, the Taxi booking from the Hotel is too much. The hotel should provide this as service but not thinking of making too much easy money from customers. Thank you, and I look forward to stay again if these feedback is carried out immediately.

I stayed for the 6. time in a row at the Manhattan. It is ageing but represents excellent value. Ideally located for public transport and entertainment.Your radio might not be working, the aircon might not be adjustable but this hotel makes up for it in other areas, most importantly in the room rates!

Hotel Manhattan is centrally situated just off Sukhumvit Road. There is plenty to do in the area and the Sky train Staions are close by. All in All an enjoyable stay.

I stayed from 10-13 Sep 2006 at Hotel Manhattan. The hotel is simple, clean and nice, location is very convenient between Asok and Nana BTS station, only about 5-8 mins walk. I booked the hotel online and I must say its really value for money! The room is spacious, clean but the only one complaint was the problems with the hot & cold taps in the bathroom. The breakfast was super! Also must try, the Manhattan Spa located on the 2nd floor. The environment fantastic! Overall, I am very satisfied with Hotel Manhattan and will not hesitate to recommend to friends for a good value of money!

The staff were quite friendly but the bathroom is too small and not very clean. The room is not very clean either, and a bit stuffy. But overall it's ok for the value.

The location was good, though the staff was not that friendly. Our intital room was a smoking room but they changed me to a non-smoking room as soon as I requested. The hotel was not that uptight but for the money ,I think it was okay.

My stay at the Manhattan Hotel was...
My stay at the Manhattan Hotel was mediocre - I did not expect much, as the price of this hotel was so cheap. However, I have to mention that the location is quite close to the skytrain/subway - great for getting around Bangkok cheaply. Even though this means walking through the alley at night to get to the front door to the hotel. Otherwise, Sukhumvit Road has a lot of little stalls with tons of goods for sale - so you don't even have to go to Chatuchak Market (although going is strongly encouraged - since there's so much to look at) or MBK mall if time is of the essence. The service at this hotel was not quite what I expected - even for a 3 star hotel. The front desk would refuse to acknowledge me as a female, even though I am a female, look like a female and it even states so on my passport. It seemed that they felt that I was either a crossdresser or crossgender, just because I wore a tshirt and jeans. When corrected, they would look at me in a funny way and reluctantly correct themselves. The breakfast selection is constantly the same. Since a breakfast voucher is needed to eat at the breakfast buffet, there is often a wait at the door to find someone to give this voucher to. As well, plates are taken away really quickly... and the same must be true for cutlery - as every morning I had to hunt down cutlery that is usually provided at the table (normally, only a spoon or a knife is left). All in all, the location is great - since it's only a 2 mins walk to the skytrain and/or subway station. Plus, the skytrain and subway takes you practically everywhere (tourist-y, of course). My stay consisted of exploring, so I was rarely in my hotel room. So, if this is the case for you, I would recommend staying here. For the price you pay, it's worth it.

Overall excellent location (close to Asok BTS station) and value for money. Only problem was that we had specified honeymoon couple and still got 2 seperate beds. However on request the hotel agreed to provide us with a double bed room the next day. Recommended for budget couples
