We enjoyed our stay at this hotel....
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is very good, large inroom safe, breakfast is good although a bit chaotic. Staff friendly not as many facilities as advertised and what they had was expensive. We stayed at the front of the hotel so did not hear any construction noise, but the karaoke club was quite loud. Did not feel safe in the pool because of men working overhead with no nets or scaffold.

When I was shopping for a Bangkok...
When I was shopping for a Bangkok hotel, I wanted one reasonably priced, clean and in the Sukhumvit area in the lower soi numbers. Manhattan Hotel not only met my criteria, it exceeded it. It's location is great, just a short block off Sukhumvit, and within about a 10 minute walk from two Sky Train stations. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were fine. There is a construction site next door, but the noise didn't start early or go late. If you want luxury, this is not your hotel. But if you want a comfortable, clean place to sleep after your days of shopping, touring, and/or business, this is value for your money. I hope to visit Bangkok again soon, and Manhattan Hotel will be my choice.

I have stayed here 6 times in...
I have stayed here 6 times in the last 3 years. It is the best value for the money with a great location. The in-room safe is big enough for a laptop. Plenty of hot water in the bath. A good breakfast buffet included. Foot massage right next to the elevator. A tour desk. I will stay here on my next trip.

I love the location and the friendly...
I love the location and the friendly service staff. Service staff always smiling when they meet a guest, especially the Chef at the restaurant. It is a little noisy though because of nearby construction. I have been a guest at least 6 to 10 times the past few years, hope they keep a repeat guest list so we don't have to fill in registration time and again. Even for frequent guests, getting a non-smoking room with king-sized bed can be a hazzle at times. All in all, a good value and I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Good sized room, although we were moved...
Good sized room, although we were moved twice during our 3 night stay as they hadn't arranged a room with a double bed even though we arranged this 3 months in advance. Cheap and cheerful is how you would best summarise this hotel. Noise on both sides of the hotel from ongoing construction. As of Mar, 2006, the construction site at the front is pile driving and the construction at the back is about 30% complete.

We stayed in this hotel for 2...
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in February. It's location is very central, however I will stay in Siam next time which in my opinion is more close to shopping centres. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, room was ok but bathroom is very old but can't really complain about it. What I did not like was the fact that we were located on the 7th floor and in the rooms next to use there was some work being done till 6 or 7 in the evening. We requested to have the room on the last day extended to 7pm which of course we paid extra and we could not even rest with the noise. Another thing was the gym. It has been closed for some time now while it is stil being shown as if it is one of the facilities the hotel has. If I knew this before I would have chosen another one with similar budget say the Ambassador.

The furniture in the room and the...
The furniture in the room and the sanitaire in the bathroom are little bit worn, but clean. The service and the breakfast was perfect. The staff was very nice and helpfull.

Very very run down and smelly -...
Very very run down and smelly - starting from the lobby/reception area! carpets were torn, rooms were very old and very dirty - cockcroaches in room! Outside looked ok, but once inside the corridors of the hotel, it looks like a backpackers lodge. Booked a deluxe room for honeymooners but got a twin room - Got a double the second night. Breakfast was the only good thing about the hotel!! Would not stay there again...

My stay at the Manhattan hotel was...
My stay at the Manhattan hotel was very pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly andhelpful. What you gotfor the money was an outstanding value, and the free breakfast was one of the best. My only drawback was the rooms have two twin beds. I prefer one large bed. But this is still a fine hotel.
