A great place to stay, near the bts staition, nightlife and restaurants. The rooms are ok but you can be disturbed by the buildningworkers outside as they start early in the morning. I would definitely stay here next time I go to Bangkok.

Bathroom piping was very bad. Water heating was also not very good.
A particular hotel manager was not very friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to point him out if you have employee photos
With the bathroom facilities and sub standard service, I did not think the room package was a value although the rates were reasonable. If these two problems improve I will most likely return if travelling alone but NEVER with my family!

The staff generally were kind and helpful, except one person at the reception desk : Mrs "Phatuwanee" (or Fatuwanee?) absolutely unpleasant!
Twice in the evening we had to call "housekeeper" service for towels which had not been provided !
Another "particularity" of Manhattan hotel : two bottles of drinking water usually complimentary offered in others, we had to pay 20 baths per bottle and the day we checked out we had to pay a beverage of 75 Baths we did not drink ! The total amount for our stay was 535 Baths . It could be helpful for customers to be warned about this.
We spent a 18 days stay having the same breakfast every morning !

I've stayed here before its always been good value, but you have to book a few weeks in advance because its so popular. I have always found the facilities and amenities okay for the Manhattan hotel. I would highly reccomend it to anybody looking for a reasonabably priced hotel.

This is my first time to go to bangkok. As this is my birthday trip, i am wondering i will be having a nice trip. However, Manhattan breaks my dream. When i got into the hotel, there is no bell boy to help us. So i have to pick up all my stuffs by myself. when i got into my room, i saw 2 cockroach in my toilet. I kill them. when i open the refrigerator. I could only see the cockroach family living inside. At the moment, i requested to change another room for me, but they refused to do so. I am very disappointed about the serivce and the cleaningness about this hotel. At last, i have to sleep with the cockroach family for celebrating my birthday. I could only say, I must not stay in Manhattan next time when i go to thailand. I assure that.

We stayed at the Manhattan 4 nights...
We stayed at the Manhattan 4 nights in the beginning of September. The first room was less than wonderful - noisy (facing construction site), broken A/C, hard bed - but the one they moved us to was just fine. All in all, great value for money. Excellent breakfast and convenient location (just minutes from the sky-train). We were very pleased and would definitely stay there again when in Bangkok.

It was my second time to stay in the Manhattan hotel. Great price for clean rooms, breakfasts, and hospitality, especially the trainee in the reception. This hotel will certainly be my first choice in Bangkok.

Stayed from 29 to 31 August 2005 and found the hotel good value for the money. Great location and pleasant staff. Satisfied with the service provided and will return in future.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights then returned later for a further night during a recent trip to Thailand. Good value for money, very friendly staff and good location. Rooms were tidy and comfortable. On our separately booked final night we were in a room on the construction site side of the building and were concerned the noise might bother us after reading previous reviews. Pleased to say there were no problems (on a higher floor anyway) and will happily stay at Manhattan again.
