This hotel is excellent value for money,...
This hotel is excellent value for money, the staff are very polite and helpful, there were no bugs of any kind and the room was plenty big enough for us. On the minus side, the toilet flush was feeble and the windows on the 5th floor (where we were) were far too small and made me feel a bit claustrophobic. But that's carping - the hotel is situated very conveniently close to the river and the Silom district.

This hotel has all the standard amenities...
This hotel has all the standard amenities available either in-house or nearby. The only let down I feel is the location which is not so foot friendly to the area of Silom.

The room's lights have to be improved....
The room's lights have to be improved. It's so dim. Even with all the lights on. Hot water comes for five minutes only. And then you have to wait another five before it comes on again. Location is pretty decent though.

We live in Japan and we stayed...
We live in Japan and we stayed in Manohra Hotel 2 nights. In that trip, we stayed in 2 more hotels in Bangkok: Marriot Spa and Resort and Grand Ville Hotel. Manohra Hotel is near the highway (convenient to skip traffic by taxi). Also there is an Airport Bus that stop in this Hotel (but we didn't use it). From the Airport to almost any hotel around that area is 450 Bhts fixed. In front of that Hotel is a tasty Indian Restaurant (with the logo very similar to Pizza Hut). There is a Pharmacy right in the corner. To the nearest Subway station by taxi is about 45 Bhts (with meter). Also, to the nearest port is about 10 minutes walking. The service in the front desk was very very good, in general everybody were really kind. The breakfast is enough, nothing great. For going outside at night, we recommend taxi (not tuk tuk or walking). A good value for what we payed.

Although cheap for what you get in...
Although cheap for what you get in terms of the room, the reception staff are the worst I've ever encountered. I arrived about 9pm, was the only guest checking in but it still took over half an hour. One person started then left, another continued but then answered a phone call which was still going on when I finally got a room. All the others stood around and looked in the other direction. One said I had to wait because they were full, I think I was waiting because they just don't care. What do you expect for $26? Not a great location, the skytrain is too far to walk & taxi drivers don't want to use the meter because of the heavy traffic in this area so every taxi journey starts with an argument...but that goes for lots of hotels in BKK.

I found out about this hotel by...
I found out about this hotel by Internet. In Manohra Hotel website it looks as the perfect place to stay but is not. The worst thing was that the room was not propertly cleaned when I arrived.
