All the facilities were excellent, but the hotel's location downriver from the center of town and in Thonburi made it somewhat inconvenient to reach interesting places in the city. For example, there were few outside restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Some of the contract facilities, such as the spa, were also very expensive in comparison to the costs and services of private spas that one could find in the city.

A fantastic hotel/resort in an ideal location...
A fantastic hotel/resort in an ideal location in Bangkok. Across the river from downtown Bangkok is an advantage. Catch the hotel ferry service to the skytrain and al is available from there. Best place to do taxis is across the river at the Skytrain station. The staff are magnificent and there is a lot of things to do in the resort itself. The night dinner cruise is a must and if you have time arrange to go on the overnight river cruise. Warning, it is expensive in the hotel complex, but as a romantic spot it is ideal. There is a great tailor in the Royal Garden Plaza 1st Floor called Monet Il Sarto; good quality, good price and great service.

We are regular visitors to Bangkok 2...
We are regular visitors to Bangkok 2 to 3 times per year We have stayed at all branded 5 star Hotels and then using Asiarooms.com a couple of years ago we discovered the Marriott Resort and Spa. Whilst a little further down the river this Hotel is exceptional in its facilities and extremely good value. We are returning in March, May and September 07 We have also discovered Rons Tailors in the Hotel shopping area. Rons are very very good and very reasonable. This Hotel is hard to beat in Bangkok

My wife and I were delighted by...
My wife and I were delighted by this hotel, a haven of quiet just outside the bustle of Bangkok. Comfortable beds, good rooms and amenities and excellent but unobtrusive service. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and other meals we took here and would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to relax during a stay in Bangkok. The free shuttle boat trip, leaving every 15 minutes, to a skytrain station was a boon, and the free cold towel and bottle of water on every return trip was very welcome and very nice little extra touch. This hotel is an oasis of tranquility in a madly frenetic, bustling and exciting city. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Bangkok. I'd also extend my thanks to AsiaRooms for absolutely trouble-free bookings.

From the first minute we stepped in...
From the first minute we stepped in the hotel it has been a pleasure : staff always smiling and helpful,the conception and design of the hotel is absolutely great.Being away from the maddness of the noisy,polluted streets of Bangkok is heaven and being by the water and the convenience of circulating by boat from the hotel to all the major sigthtseeings was certainly the most pleasant way to do it .And to finish :the security accessing the hotel is not forgotten and at night the doorman checking with a torchlight inside the taxi to check you haven't forgotten something....
