This was our second time at the...
This was our second time at the Marriott Resort and Spa. Although the room we got last time was better, we still feel that this is the best option for us in Bangkok mainly due to its location (away from the noise and pollution of Bangkok). It is spacious and very well looked after, its pool and grounds are excellent, numero uno cafe is great and the service fantastic. Only complaint is that the Mandara Spa is very expensive. This place makes it possible to have a great time as a family in a busy, noisy place like Bangkok.

A really excellent last two nights of...
A really excellent last two nights of our adventure around Thailand. Luxury Hotel with great facilities and superb hospitality. Although the hotel is a bit away from the main areas the free ferry more than makes up for this and it is nice once out of madness and smells of Bangkok to chill on the muddy river whilst returning to the hotel. Only one downside is that the Jacuzzi did not smell too pleasant or look the correct colour. Would return to this hotel again.

The total experience was a pleasure. Using...
The total experience was a pleasure. Using the free ferry boat and the sky train means that central Bangkok is easily accessible and yet the resort has an open spacious feel and not the cramped together feeling of City hotels. The staff were wonderfully friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our only (very minor)complaint was that the entertainment at the riverside restaurant was the same every evening and became a little monotonous after a couple of evenings. Something different every other evening would have been preferable for us (especially as our room overlooked the stage)

The Marriott Bangkok Resort and Spa is...
The Marriott Bangkok Resort and Spa is different from other Bangkok hotels. Its relative distance from the city makes it ideal for those seeking seclusion and relaxation. The hotel provides a very good boat service to the other side of the Chao Phraya river where hotel guests can take the metro to downtown Bangkok. The adjacent plaza has a selection of restaurants for a quick bite. Overall, the hotel is good value for money although it can use some upgrading.

overall the few days I spent at the mariott were faboules !!!!! Good food and excellent service - loved the complimentary boat ride from the hotel to the sky train !!!

The hotel was excellent, and the service...
The hotel was excellent, and the service good. It is some way out of the city, but the free shuttle boat is regular and good - the cold towel and water on the way back from the city were most welcome. The breakfast was as good as we have seen anywhere. Our only complaint was the price of the drinks (in particular) and food, which in local terms were astronomical. However there are a number of reasonable restaurants just outside the hotel. Stay here and eat and drink elsewhere!
