This Hotel is sooo great. It was our second stay and we loved it again sooo much. Service is so great and the place is impeccable. The Stuff is so friendly and helpfull. And the location is so romantic and wonderfull you think you are on an island and that middle of bangkok. We want to stay again in our next holiday.

for what we paid for our room...

for what we paid for our room we were a bit disappointed overall. we stayed in a deluxe riverview room with balcony. the room was on the small side (32m2) and was quite dark. there was only a small sliding door onto the balcony. the balcony was no bigger than 4/5 m2 at best. as a result there was little natural light into the room, no opportunity to sit on the balcony (there was no outdoor balcony furniture anyway)and the view to the river was a side view that was obscured by tall palm trees. my wife complained of an uncomfortable bed although i found it fine. breakfast was of the usual variety found at hotels of this calibre and was adequate and plentiful. the usual western offerings plus asian choices as well. the most pleasing aspect of our stay were the staff. they were fantastic in all respects, from check-in to checkout. the front desk staff require special mention. nothing was too much trouble for them. overall for us a 3 out of 5, but there is not enough here to warrant us returning here if we are in Bangkok again, which we will be.

Made very welcome from square one. Beautiful pool and surroundings. Very good service.Very good everything! Location is fantastic, by the river. There is a free shuttle ferry to the central pier, from which many areas can be accessed by ferry or Sky-train, which are cheap, simple and avoid traffic jams. On the street side, there are plenty of taxis and 'tuk-tuks'.

This was our second stay at the...

This was our second stay at the Hotel and again we were very impressed. It feels more like a resort in the city rather than a stopover business hotel. I really have no cause for complaint about any aspect. The boat link to the skytrain is a real bonus for us but I think that Marriott could do more to publicise this. My only minor grouse was the high cost of tea at the Dim Sum lunch in the Rice Mill.

it was a wonderful hotel! everything was perfect! We tried first "Lebua at state tower", that was design and had a good location , but the restaurants are really too much expensive and noisy at Lebua and the hotel is cold and without garden. than we tried Marriot and were very happpy to do it! the restaurants are not expensive and were very good; the show of thai dance , each evening on the terrasse,was very nice too; and the hotel is next the river, nice location .The swimming-pool and the garden have good size. It was a wonderful hotel, classic but class.

This is the second time we have...

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, although hotel is the wrong word it's a resort. We have been coming to Thailand since 1982 for both business and pleasure. We feel qualified to comment as we have used over 40 different hotels in Bangkok over the years. This resort is number 1 better than the Peninsula and other premium hotels in the city. Your adventure when you arrive starts and ends with the fantastic staff and attention you get from check in until check out. I could write a hundred things good about he resort but would have trouble finding one bad thing. I will also use Asia rooms again as I found their price the best I could find on the Web. Their response for confirmation was also excellent at short notice. Thanks to all who made our short stay so perfect. Rgds David

Spent our first night in Bangkok here,...

Spent our first night in Bangkok here, en route to Hua Hin, and we were incredibly impressed with the facilities considering the price we paid. Don't hesitate, book it! The junior suites are stunning, amazing bathroom, beautiful furnishings. You cannot go wrong with this choice.
