NORTH
Northern Bangkok's touristic highlight is Chatuchak Weekend Market, best reached by catching the skytrain.

Mor Chit bus terminal is located near the same stop.

To catch an inter-provincial bus heading north or northeast.

SOUTH
Buses heading south from Bangkok leave from Sai Tai bus terminal.

Bangkok was once referred to as "The Venice of the East", but today the klongs or canals are concentrated in Thonburi, the area lying to the West of Chao Phraya River.

You can take a klong tour, and most will stop at Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) and the Royal Barges Museum.

EAST
The most heavily visited area is Ko Ratanakosin, Bangkok's old city on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River.

Visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), Wat Pho, Wat Mahatat, the Golden Mount and Wat Suthat.

The city's founding pillar "Lak Muang" is also located in the district, as are the Banglampoo and Khao San Road.

WEST
Young Thais and keen shoppers go for the Siam Square, Siam Paragon.

The area around the Victory Monument features a variety of bars including Saxophone Pub & Restaurant.

This is also a major transport hub, with the Skytrain and plenty of buses passing through.

AIRPORT
Driving Directions: Connect to the Expressway from Rama IX, and exit at Xhan Road Exit.

Pass the intersection and turn left on Charoenkrung Road, keep left 500 meters to the Hotel's entrance.
