During our bangkok stay at your hotel, we were pleased with our 2 days stay. The receptionist, guard, bell boy and even the restuarant staffs were customer orientated. Throughout our stay, we were greeted with courtesy smile and assistance. I would say they were experience and definitely hearted with world class customer service. Our call to service room for the 3 pin adaptor and hot water on both nights were answered to our door step within 5 minutes, it's great.
I would like to propose additional service and facility. Thru our experience from Bangkok, Thailand, we are aware of the usage of 2 pin plug rather than 3 pin plug for electricity purpose. Perhaps the hotel can leave the plug adaptor in each room or get one installed for tourists? I also recommend that each floor can have a pantry corner for collecting hot water, it will be a plus point.

The Montien was fabulous. I enjoyed the accomendations very much. The hotel was located exactly where I wanted to be. The staff was so nice and professial, helped me with any problems, like changing airline tickets and other matters. I enjoyed my stay so much, I didnt want to leave.Also the food was very good . They made my stay in bangkok so much fun!!!!
This is the 4th time we have...
This is the 4th time we have stayed here now (having visited Thailand 5 times), it was nice that the staff remembered us by name too. We are a family, the hotel are always accommodating, ensuring everything we need is available, all the staff are friendly and helpful, every night the beds are turned down, with orchids on the pillow ( I think its a nice touch).
The location for us is excellent, right on the dorrstep of the Patpong night market, close to the sky train and plenty of taxi's available, not too far from anything to do, day or night. The food at breakfast is always excellent, nothing is too much trouble. the pool is excellent, and the kids love spending time there, there is also an excellent gym if thats what you are into. the hotel is good for all kinds of people, I do not think it is expensive, if you stay there I am sure you will also agree. We have decided that this is the hotel we will stay at when in Bangkok, as we have never been disappointed, (why risk disappointment in trying alternatives)

We have stayed here four times to date but will not again.
Hotel Staff allowed a party to take place in the next room to us
this went on t 05.30 am even though we asked staff to get the people to cut the noise a little as we were travelling to Cha-am the next day and had to be up early (not a lot of sleep that night) No apology No explanation.
On our return to the Montien two weeks later we checked in, unpacked had a kip and then went out for a meal. On our return at 10.15 pm we were told we would have to move rooms ? we were given several conflicting reasons, (none true) When I tried to complain the degree of English spoken by staff seemed to decrease massively.
The following day I spoke to the Duty Manager? He said he would look into it? No apology No explanation.

We stayed at the Montien Hotel in March 2006, and enjoyed our stay very much. Clean and spacious, comfortable rooms, nice pool area and gym, very good breakfast buffet and courteous staff made our stay a succes! Also, depending on what you are looking for in Bangkok, the location is great. Right in Patpong, close to all the nigtlife and nightmarket, also just 5 minutes away from Silom Road and the MRT!

If you have a very short stay...
If you have a very short stay in Bangkok this hotel is perfect because it allows you to see a lot in a short amount of time due to it's location facing the night market. However it is in a very crowed area, day and night...not best for seniors, family or ecological trip...

I had my reservations about this hotel before arriving, but was so impressed after my stay I've been raving about it to everyone.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. Service was exceptional. The rooms are of adequate size, very clean and decored nicely. The buffet breakfast was sensational. The location is fantastic... you have Si Lom Market at your doorstep and its only a 5 minute walk to Sala Daeng Skytrain Station. When I return to Bangkok... I'll definitely be staying at Montien!
