I was just in Bangkok for the weekend so only staying two nights. Check-in was very quick and painless. Bags taken to room by porter. The room was clean and spacious but the drains did smell a little. Quite common in Bangkok. Nice LCD TV, security safe and lots of bathroom items. Liked the modern style of the shower. Good location as Soi 11 has some good restaurants and bars and it is just over 5 minutes walk from the skytrain. Breakfast was great. Choice of Asian and Western foods. Buffet style and staff very helpful.
The maid service could be more organised. We put our please clean room sign up at 8.15 and the room wasn't done until after 3.00. We had some ants appear on day 2. The pool is not really appropriate for children. It is inside and has been made to fit in a large room. No where to sit near it. You are either in or out.
It is a great hotel if you are just in town for a day or two on business or meeting friends. Not good for families as no facilities for kids. Excellent vlaue for the price.

It was a pleasant experience for my girlfriend and I during our 3 nights stay at Le Fenix in Oct 07. The hotel was very new, modern-looking and we were greeted by a hip-trendy facade. The room was small and cosy, just great for 2 occupants. Bed is comfy and soft, room is clean. It's a pity that there wasn't any bathtub in any of their rooms in Le Fenix and there was no shower door, in such case, the toilet floor is wet after each use. There was also an inconsistency in the water temperature of the shower heater, it's either too hot or too cold for comfort. But I guess this is a minor problem to rectify.
Daily breakfast didn't have a wide range of selection. Nevertheless, the quality of food and the ambience of the cafe was pleasant experience.
The location of the hotel was at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 11. It was about 10-15mins walk from the nearest Nana BTS Station. It was a subjective walking distance - it all depends if you have your shopping bags with you. The hotel is right opposite Q Bar and Bed Supperclub is just round the corner.
The staffs are friendly and helpful and airport transfers are also available upon request (additional cost). It was overall a great experience in the 5mths old hotel.

Le Fenix stay true to its description in terms of aesthetics and exclusivity.overall,it look even better than the pictures.on the whole,excellent if you are a clubber when its directly opposite Q bar and within walking distance from Bed supper club.the decor and furnishing made the hotel looks very chic and trendy.location was ok since can is abundant and affordable in bkk.the room is simple yet trendy. only minus point is the reception staff aint very info savvy when we asked where playground was and they insisted on us paying for a hand towel when all it had was strawberry milk stained on it.overall,i will stay here again.

I had stay in most of the 3 star and above hotels in Bangkok. Le Fenix is right inside the Sukumvit Soi 11 and must walk about 25 minutes to reach the BTS and i personally don't rhink is suitable for folks. Dark alley with pubs, massage parlour and internet cafe all over. Internet charges in hotel is relevantly high and the room is just nice for a couple. it's new and it can be improve.
