I would not stay here again room very old, bathroom not anything like a 3 star more like cheap hostel very cheap door lock not secure had security box in room but not bolted down you could pick it up and walk out with it, but breakfast was good

Hotel was overall what we expected. Only used it as a one night stay after plane flight before going onto Kanchetaburi. Hotel not close to shopping centres but good as a passing by stop. Bathroom small and old. Great service offered upon arrival and upgraded us to a better room. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.
Stayed at the New World for 2...
Stayed at the New World for 2 nights on the way home from Vietnam. The room was huge compared to those we had got used to. The breakfast buffet was good, changing slightly each morning. The staff were efficient and friendly and arranging a taxi through the desk was economical and convenient. Only a very short walk to Khao San road but not close enough to get the noise! Hotel was lovely and quiet. Rooms were spotless and you got complimentary bottled water each day. If you're looking for an excellent value room wihtin walking distance of the Grand Palace and environs you can't get much better than this. Note the restaurant is also Halal certified.
Great location and services... especially the tour...
Great location and services... especially the tour booking officer, he was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast included was perfect for early start. The hot water system in the bathroom was the only problem....not hot enough, but we survived as Bangkok was warm. Thanks New World!

Old, dirty, bugs in the bedroom. Breakfast not many choices, don't understand why so many people consider the breakfast is a plus?
Not recommended for the price range it charged. It really spoiled your holiday mood while having bugs biting you whole night.

We stayed there in December 2008 in one of their deluxe room. We found the hotel dirty, the staff unfriendly, the breakfast buffet disgusting. They have an outside café which I think is sitting on an open sewer judging from the smell - it destroys any appetite - so does the price of their tasteless food and unfriendly service. There was nothing good about this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone.

stayed in 2 rooms as come back to bangkok before flying home. hotel very nice, staff very helpfull, breakfast good, rooms could do with a bit of an update, bathrooms need to be redecorated there clean but look dirty as there old. internet expensive as 3 steps from reception is a tat and half the price, wouldnt recommend to back packers on a budget, as can get alot cheaper thats just as good. felt very safe as security very good whole hotel got cameras. safe in room free of charge which is bonus, just watch the mini bar as peanuts and biscuits out of date. gym not very good if your going there to use it.
