We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel and have been recommending to everyone we talk to about Bangkok!
We started the first part of our 3 month world tour in Bangkok and treated ourselves to the luxury of the Prince Palace, even though its typically not meant for backpackers!
The room was lovely with great views of the city and had everything we needed. Breakfast was included and offered alot of choice which was very enjoyable.
Well done Prince Palace for what we think is a great hotel!

This probbably used to be a really nice 4* hotel a few years ago. But it`s in need of renovation, at least some new paint here and there.
BUT considering the price I`d still say it`s quite nice.
It`s not next door to anything but close to everything.
Good breakfast buffe, friendly staff, nice outdoor pool.

This hotel is not very well situated in Bangkok (but only 15 minuts by taxi to downtown).
Around is a poor area, but if you like open air markets, why not...
Our room was dirty.
At front desk they cannot provide touristic information (only a black and white copy of Bangkok downtown).
OK for budget travellers.
Breakfast (from 6 to 10 am) was OK.
To the airport: 30 minuts and 300 bahts (if no traffic congestion).

Prince Palace is very nice and my companions and I were very pleased with everything, from it's good location (a taxi or tuk-tuk drive away from many wats and other sites), spacious rooms and expansive breakfast buffet. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

Prince Palace is a very good hotel, nice and friendly people. Breakfast was great. All kinds of markets around and not far to the interesting points of Bangkok. We absolutely would come back.
Room size and cleanliness were OK. Room...
Room size and cleanliness were OK. Room safe was out of order, mey be the perticular room I stayed. Early in the morning (around 6:30), dishes for breakfast were not warmed up. Bariety was good. Hotel limo was THB700 the bell informed and they didn't call a Taxi. I took a Taxy just outside of the hotel, it took THB200 to the Airport. Poor Bell captain. Bus stop, BTS and Metro station are a bit far. Boat was the best transportation to main activities near Pratunam area, however, it may be dangerous for elders and kids. It is excellent for young tourists because there is no traffic jam.

We waited for almost half an hour for our room service for milk and tea. too long a wait.
Also the room was dark and during the 2nd night, my friend had to stay alone as i have checked out the previous day, it was not convenient for a girl to stay there alone in a badly lit room.
Hotel corridor was dark too.
