We found the hotel to be very affordable if we booked on line but because we extended our stay for a day it was expensive!Guest services were helpful to guide us to points of interest and transportation means.Would have been more helpful to have more English speaking staff at the reception desk, or maybe we should learn to speak Thai?Internet access was definetly an asset to our stay (though pricey). The evening beer garden provided a relaxing place to unwind the live entertainment was tasteful.Overall our stay was everything we would have wanted in a 3+ star hotel. We had booked our reservation for the first part of our trip from the states and found the Prince Palace favorable thus booked our last leg of our stay in Thailand using their internet access!I guess you could say this was our second stay at the Prince Palace and we would book again our next trip to Thailand.

I wish I could speak better of...
I wish I could speak better of this hotel. The hotel itself is quite beautiful, and some of the staff were very nice. Also, the sushi restaurant is fantastic. However, it really is far out of the way and several taxi drivers flat out refused to drive us to it - we're still not sure why. But that wasn't the worst thing by far. While we were having lunch in this hotel, a giant rat ran through the dining room (the same room where the breakfast buffet is held). The staff had it cornered for a while, but then it broke out and ran directly at us. Needless to say we did not finish our lunch, which were still charged for. The other difficulty we had was with the air conditioning. It worked well, but gave me a terrible sore throat. We were able to change rooms which did help, but I still felt ill whenever we were in the room. This did not happen at any other hotel on our month-long trip. Bottom line, I would not suggest this hotel to others. If you have a decent budget, stay in Sukhumvit. If you're a backpacker, stay in Baglamphu. Hopefully you won't encounter any rats.

Exciting view from windows! Excellent breakfast. All services provided but some of them are for unreasonable price. For example, Internet access in the hotel costs 300B/hour. In other places it costs 10-50B/hour. Wallpapers in the room were ragget a lot of time ago. Common recreation areas aren't clean enough.

This must be worst of all the...
This must be worst of all the hotels i have stayed in Bangkok. I was attracted by the positive feedbacks from asiarooms about this hotel and the pricing was very cheap. I decided to give it a try. I reached there, the hotel room is old, hotel looks kinda dirty. Customer Service is poor. They don't understand english very well. Overall, for this price i have paid, i just spend a few more bucks, i could get much better rooms than this.

The hotel is quite valuable. Easy to get a taxi to the destitation although is not near the attractions. However the hotel facilities is not enough, there are no coffee powder, tea, spoon or cup set in the room. If can supply drinking water (hot and cold)in every level or kettle in every room is better. The room's light is not enough, not very bright in the room. There is no suitable socket in the rooms, and it is difficult to charge the electronics or digital camera. However the toilet and room is big. Overall still not bad.

Great location with market shopping just outside the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful although amenities provided by the hotel directly were very expensive. We avoided purchasing any items at the hotel including food although we did enjoy the complementary breakfast.

Location is ideal for access to Bobae...
Location is ideal for access to Bobae market, and it is very central for access to many other areas. Major Hint: Try the canal boat(8 baht), just past entrance to Bobae Tower. Take boat left from pier, 2nd stop, and then 100 yards walk away from canal, to stairs to National Stadium which is Skytrain terminal. Also, walk across terminal to MBK Center, major shopping/entertainment/eating complex. You can go heaps of places on skytrain. Also, take canal boat heading right from pier to go to Khaosan Road. Off at first stop, cross bridge following 10 or 12 lane road, walk 200 meters to monument roundabout, cross at lights, go around roundabout past McDonalds, walk about another 200 meters, to first intersection, turn right, first road to your left is Khaosan Road. Canal Boat is a good ride in itself, just wait on pier for boat going your way, think it goes to about 9pm.
