I have only stayed at this hotel for one night, however, i have expected the Four seasons to be (a wow hotel), but the furniture were pretty old, the hotel from the out side looks like an old govmnt building, but for one nigth ONLY it was OK, much better hotels in Bangkok.

We used to stay me and my wife at the intercontinental hotel when we visit Bangkok because of its great location but this time we have chosen the four season's hotel to try it for the first time.
It's a great hotel and very romantic place for honeymooners and we got an upgrade at the check in to a junior suite.
Breakfast was not that great, not many things to choose and it was very simple.
Location is good and very close to the shopping area but be careful when pass next to the guys who sells Thai food (the smell is not that great(

We have stayed at this hotel several times over many years. Like a favourite pair of shoes the feel of the Four Season is comfortable. Professional without being too much. Great beds, particularly the pillows. Room furniture is looking tired but thankfully TV is now a wall-mounted flat screen. Though TV mount could have been better if it could be angled for better viewing from room chair. There also seemed to be a lack of hooks in the bathroom. Charging for internet in the guest room is something that disappointed. We felt a number of things had changed since our last stay 2 years ago. Appeared that not so many business people were staying or doing business in the hotel foyer, more a leisure crowd. Our favourite Green Lagoon drink had disappeared from the foyer drinks menu & the Italian restaurant Biscotti, which we used to rave about in the past had slipped a notch. Still the central location is hard to beat. We felt that this hotel is becoming over-priced.

The hotel is great. Beautiful, clean, posh, it is everything I expect. But it is Nikki Jarujuan, their Front Desk Manager, who takes such care of the hotel guests well-being that really make this diff between yet another nice hotel and a great experience.
Well folks, you cant have your cake and eat it. Naturally, such hospitality comes at a price. And not only the hotel room, but be prepared to pay for room service and so on. If memory serves me right how about 220 baht (after tax) for carrot juice -- US6.50 in Thailand for carrot juice? Bet you that is more than someone's daily wages! But having said that, served in its own chiller, on starched linen, and all with an orchid!
Hotel near BTS skytrain. You really MUST take this during rush hour. Good luck to you if you are travelling by car/cab on the road outside the hotel during rush hour. Be prepared to move at a snail's pace for most of that time.

I was so happy to be upgraded to a deluxe room ( after an exchange of hushed tones by the two front desk girls -- second class customers??? )
First night at about 1.30 a.m. I could hear the TV from the adjacent room. I thought I had forgotten to switch off my own TV. Turns out that the sound-proofing was real bad. Made a complaint to the front desk, and not long after, the TV next room was switched off.
Thought I will hear something from the service personnel the next day. Nothing.
Afternoon of 2nd day, there it was again. Thought I had a nasty neighbour, but thought he ought to be entitled to watch TV at the "max" volume the hotel sets for all her guests. Made a complaint to the front desk and he said he will ask his engineers to look into matter.
Any feedback? NIL
Regardless, I must comment that since I think the max volume of the TV in my own room is acceptable, then this hotel must have the worst sound proofing of all 5 star rated hotels in the whole world. I have stayed in many five star hotels the world over.
Test for yourself -- Room 849 (mine) and adj 848!

We upgraded on arrival to a cabana...
We upgraded on arrival to a cabana suite which was perfect, very quiet with excellent fixtures and an extreemly comfortable bed. The location was great for us as we were there to shop and it was within walking distance to the all the best shopping centres. The staff were very friendly and helpful somehow they even seemed to read our minds. The Italian restuarant at the hotel was superb.
