The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were fantastic. The pool and gym are a nice size and lovely views overlooking the city. Having stayed there at the start of a tour round Thailand it is only after experiencing hotels in the rest of the country that I can say the staff were not of the typical Thai friendliness. However the hotel on the whole is brilliant and excellent value for money.

I stayed at the Royal City hotel 1 night in May 05. To far out. Breakfast was not that great. Staff friendly but limited in English. I would stay some where else next time. One good thing, they kept our bags for the day at no charge.

The staff at Royal City were very helpful and polite. Our room was spacious, but the hotel seemed run down, in need of some renovations and a good clean. A definite disapointment was the condition of the bed, the sheets were not clean, evidence of past residents were obvious. It is in a good position for anyone wanting to take a bus from the southern bus station. Overall the hotel was not bad for the money you pay.

I really liked the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms very nice. My only downside was the television channels. Could use one more full time English language station, but I realize most of the people staying there are not 1st language English. The rest of the hotel and the food there was great! I'll stay there again!

I loved this hotel. It was just as nice as the 5 star we had just come from in all areas. We stayed in two different rooms and they were both spacious, clean, modern and comfortable with lovely decor. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. We hired the babysitter for a few nights with no problems and they let us store our bags all week free of charge. It is located a few minute walk away from a big shopping centre with good restaurants and is a taxi ride away from the tourist places. The breakfast was fine as far as Thai breakfast buffets go with a good selection. I could not recommend this hotel enough and will definately stay here again.

Hotel located a little off the beaten...
Hotel located a little off the beaten path, but makes it easy to get to all areas of Bangkok. Romms getting a little old, but clean and GREAT STAFF. Breakfast could be better, mostly oriental, but has eggs, toast juice, ham etc. Would stay here again.
