the overall standard of the room was good we had plenty of space the bathroom was of a good standard the only problem we found with the hotel was the food in the main restaurant was not always up to standard

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. After a hot day exploring Bangkok, the pool was an excellent place to relax and cool off. The staff acted in a professional yet friendly manner. I felt very welcomed and appreciated. Everyone was really helpful. I loved the variety of foods at the breakfast buffet. The coffee did not taste good, must be instant,however,the food was delicious every morning.
When, I return to Bangkok I will very much enjoy staying at the Royal Princess.

The location served my purposes, which was to be away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok's business and shopping areas and at the same time a short commute gets you into the heart of the city. Though the hotel is somewhat dated, it has been very well kept. The hotel should very seriously consider changing their mattresses which are not ideal for someone with back problems. Try the Chinese restaurant, its really good.

After travelling around Thailand for three weeks I have to say your hotel remained at the top for service, facilities, food and above all friendliness of staff which is most important when in a foreign country. We, my family, would be pleased to reccomend your hotel and to stay in your hotel should we have the oppertunity to visit bangkok again :)

A beautifully calm hotel and although off a busy road, set back enough to make it quiet. Not too big so good for any claustrophobes who don't like the idea of tall tower blocks. Friendly staff and very clean on both occasions that we stayed. A pleasant atmosphere and large, clean pool.

It was absolutly great. The location is great for discovering the old town. Even though it is like 2,5km away from the great palace and wat po, we walked there. But you can also take a metered taxi for about 40-50 baht. (~1,5$)
There are a lot restaurants in the Kao Sarn area wich is like 1,5 km away.

This is a nice hotel, with friendly staff, but thé problem is the poor knowledge of English.
Unfortunately this can be said for the large majority of Thai people, so not really typical for this hotel.
The rooms are quite big and nice, the neighbourhoud is peaceful, but the location is problematic, due to the constant traffic jams. So, going out at night isn't really what you will do as it'll take you an hour to get to the centre, íf the taxidrivers even consider driving you. Again, not really the fault of the hotel, but apparently everybody prefers to loose many hours per day in traffic.
Would I come back : for the quality 'yes', for the 'location' definitely 'no'.

There was OK hotel. A bit too much smelly - probably carpets! / there was watered from ROOM (6th floor). View from non street rooms are DOGGY SLUMS!
Swimming pool view is pretty nice/and swimming pool is nice.
Hotel staff is nice and really helpful / there is only small problem with TAXIs - too long time waiting.
BUFFET is brilliant / It is nice breakfast and lunch there.
THERE IS VERY HIGH PAID INTERNET - WHAT I SEE AS DISADVENTAGE (18 USD/ 3 days!)

One of the nice hotels in Bangkok, excellent breakfast, nice area near the old area of Bangkok. Only some minor details in the guest room that really need to improve like floor carpet and bath room.
