It was 2nd time to stay at this hotel for us and we really enjoyed our stay. All staff were friendly and polite with smile and made us very comfortable, especially porters/concierge. We would stay at this hotel for next time again.
Good size rooms in a good location for sightseeing but less good for shopping.

The first meeting with this hotel we had in 1995. We stayed in another hotels too. But we realized the Royal Princess is the best.

This is a very nice hotel. The problem is that it is located in the centre of the current political fighting: anti-government mobs used to rally just 100m or 200m from the hotel. I was there during Songkran where the anti-government movement was at its highest and all the streets of the area was closed. Going to the hotel was really difficult and scraring. On the morning you can see the rest of the previous night fighting: burnt buses, street barrages destroyed, etc.
And the service in the hotel just doesn't informed us about all this big mess, they act like nothing happens. No information about the danger outside the hotel.
Hotel to avoid! until the political environment in Thailand is getting better.
Our family stayed in Royal Princess two days, we liked this hotel very much, very good service, nice personnel. My children spent almost all time in pool=) I recommend this hotel for short stay in Bangkok.
room was OK, higher price than most hotels, but the area was nice, no massage parlours on every corner. Was blown away by the price of ice cream I ordered in room,, 2 cups 1 for me and 1 for my wife 420 baht,,, I liev in NY and I can get ice cream thats better and cheaper.
I really enjoyed my stay at Royal Princess. The staff were very friendly, we could check out at a time that suited us for no extra charg and the facilities were great. The breakfast was especially good, as was the room service. I will definately stay here again
