The room was more than adequate for the needs of any tourist or business person and met our expectations based on the information provided online. This has not always been the case in other hotels at which we've stayed. The service people were polite, courteous and very helpful when needed. One nice aspect of our room was the bed. Sofitel Central Plaza provides a brochure describing the special comfort aspects of their bed and are rightfully proud of it. In my opinion, one of the best features of this hotel is the location. One can walk through a covered walkway and parking garage to the Central Mall and its many stores, restaurants, food court and super market. While the hotel has very good restaurants, the mall provides many economical places to eat where one can sample Thai cuisine plus dishes from many other countries. You can also buy bottled water and other groceries at the super market in the lower level of the mall. To me this is preferable to paying $3 US for a bottle of water in the room.
