This was our first stay at the...
This was our first stay at the Sofitel Lad Prao and we will definitely stay again. They are currently renovating but the disturbance was hardly noticeable. All the staff are super polite and helpful the rooms are clean and eventhough we stayed in an older executive room it was still nice and clean with a comfy bed and good air-conditioning. The pool and gardens are nice for a relax or swim and the many restaurants and bars are also top notch. Located adjacent to a shopping centre and not far from the BTS and MRT I recommend a stay for anyone including families and business people.

The best thing about this hotel is...
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were ALL wonderfully helpful, especially the two lovely girls in the Business Centre. The hotel is next to a large shopping mall which travellers are not familial with because of its location out of town. This makes it slightly cheaper shopping, especially in the department store. To get to the Skytrain or into the city it is necessary to take the hotal shuttle bus or a taxi (not expensive. Next time I would stay on the river within walking distance of the Skytrain, which, by the way is a wonderful asset to the city.

Good location next to the mall. Great...
Good location next to the mall. Great Thai friendly service. Stayed here before and would do so again. Comfortable bed and bedding. Nice breakfast buffet.

Considering the price range, there are so...
Considering the price range, there are so many much better hotels. The interior of the room looks so old. The carpet looks like it has not been changed for 20 years. Only one pair of slippers provided as they were having problems with stock. Total redecoration is a must for a hotel this age to charge this price.

Stayed 2 nights on 14th floor in...
Stayed 2 nights on 14th floor in Deluxe room. Impressive and good-quality hotel that is very close (5 minute walk) to a large shopping mall and the famous Chatuchak Market / Garden (less than 5 minute taxi ride from mall for around 50 baht). Friendly staff. Rooms clean and free from odours, good amenities. Bed absolutely wonderful - if you like soft-as-clouds beds. Very good value for money. Did not try in-hotel facilities, so can not comment on this.

Hotel rooms are in an urgent need...
Hotel rooms are in an urgent need of an upgrade. Way too old for the price charged. There is a bad odour in the rooms and corridors. The cleaning service need a serious review. My room was not cleaned 2 days.
