Not that impressed
Well where do you start? Having stayed at the Sofitel in Sukhamvit a couple of years ago the Salom Sofitel was a massive disappointment. Like a movie set, teh front reception was all professional but that was just the film set, got to room and a man was repairing something, drill in hand! all wood panelling was moving, grout was dirty, floor was dusty under the bed, no balcony, aircon poor I could go on. Oh and the cost of two teas for the room was the same price as a taxi from the airport to the hotel 360 baht.....something not right there. Having just come from Pattaya and a 2 bedroom apartment with three tv and dvd players, two bathrooms this was a major come down for us both and half the price. Only salvation was the standard of the breakfast which was excellent, but I think that would have been the same price as the flight to Thailand LOL
OK not sure if this helps anyone but if you can stay the other Sofitel which is an excellent standard in comparison and the breakfast is equally good
