This was my first stay at Dream...
This was my first stay at Dream Hotel, but it certainly wont be my last, infact - it will be the first hotel I check for availability when I travel to Bangkok. The area I was most impressed with was the service I received from everyone that works at the hotel, everyone working there was warm , friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are modern, maybe slightly small, but when in Bangkok you are out and about 18hrs a day anyway - the rooms are clean, extremely comfortable, well equipped and have fantastic bedding also. Added to this, the hotel in situated a few minutes walk off of Sukhumvit road, making it an ideal choice for being centrally located.

Service and staff are polite, helpful and friendly. Rooms are a bit on the smaller size. Light fittings are kitsch & cheap copies. Bed is comfortable and room clean. The shower room is small and shower head deliver small stream of water. The shower head is too low and will not accomodate anyone taller than 5'10". Lobby and public areas are decorated with copies of cheap looking furnitures and lights. The lobby is made cramped by the temple structures and water features. I think it is unnecessary to have temples and water features in the lobby. The temple looks good from far but close up it is poorly excecuted. The water features serve no function and looks ugly. Its has only one restaurant that serve meals and double up as bar at night. Breakfast is tasty but limited in choice. Although i stayed for only a night, i cannot imagine eating the same set breakfast menu everyday. Buffet style breakfst with quality fruits, breads, cereals and eggs will suffice. Overall decor - trying too hard with cheap copies.

Great location, great staff and great interior...
Great location, great staff and great interior dec. Standard room not overwhelmingly big, but absolutely sufficient, and better than so many other places. Perhaps a bit low celling height in entrance and bathroom - definately not reccomendable for NBA players... Super with a nice and big LDC screen and DVD player, for all those rips you just bought for nearly nothing in the street. Missed a pool, and missed a breakfast buffet instead of serving on a plate. Anyway, quality all over very good, and highly reccomendable.

in general good service. the design you like it or not, though the lobby seems more of a showroom in a design-furniture shop. nothing really of a concept.. bar is nice and great drinks; restaurant lacks ambiance and food is average, good service though. the spa.... unorganized and almost bad service; agressive upselling atempts. good treatment but the style of the spa doesn't go with the hotel. nice rooms, though a bit on the small side, many good details and amenities, well apointed minibar, only the champagne is a bit expensive.

Very modern hotel, very helpful staff with excellent language skills, and in a very bustling area of Bangkok. Skytrain service not far from hotel. The decor is fabulous, rooms are sleek (but not sure the blue light helps you sleep - we had to turn it off!) GREAT english language tv channels inhouse - best I've found in any asian hotel. Free internet in lobby. Bad points - no pool, and it was pretty empty the night we stayed, only ones in the bar at 11pm and cocktails were very expensive for a Thai hotel. I'll definitely stay here again if I stay in this area of Bangkok.

I thought that the hotel was fantastic. Really funky and something a little bit different to your usual big chain hotel. It was reasonably priced and the service was fantastic. The only down side is that they don't have a pool but extra touches like the amazingly comfortable bed with Egyptian cotton, the fantastic set breakfast (which made a nice change from the usual buffet) and the funky decor certainly made up for it. I can't comment too much on the location because we took a cab everywhere but it seemed relatively quick and easy to get to wherever we wanted to go. It is definitely worth a try - especially if you have been to Bangkok a few times before.

Very Cool!!! (love the lighting and the flat screen TVs). Good-size rooms and beds are great. The food at Flava restaurant was also excellent, although the service could be more efficient.

Dream was fabulous! (as long as you like huge plasma screen TVs and minimalist style!) The room was just the right size, although the sliding bathroom door didn't allow for much soundproofing or privacy! The staff were very very helpful and attentive and the overall decor of the hotel is imaginative and interesting. The choices at breakfast were fairly limited- as it was not a buffet, but very enjoyable. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to 'Asok' sky train station- which is great for avoiding the congested roads! We took the sky train everywhere and you can get one day passes if your planning to go to several places. The river boat is also a good way to travel- but avoid paying for the 'tourist' all day pass because its alot cheaper to pay for individual trips- you rarely have time to go to THAT many destinations! Get a metered taxi from the airport to the hotel- but try to make sure you have the meter on rather than agreeing a fixed price- we found that we were charged nearly double on the way there (400 baht) than on the way back (220 Baht)- you will have to pay for 'tolls' on the highway though- we paid 20 Baht at one and 40 Baht for the other.
