My husband and I stayed at the Dream Hotel in the Last week of January 2009 for 3 days/2 nights. The internet price posted on Asia Rooms at the relevant time was attractive and we had read pretty decent reviews about the place on other websites and blogs.
The hotel is very centrally located in the Sukhumvit area, and close to the BTS, which meant we could take the BTS as an alternative to escape the gridlock if taxis were not an option.
We liked the hotel amenities and the decor was appealing. The bed was very comfortable and provided good rest after a busy and tiring day of walking and shopping.
Service at the front desk was exceptional and professional (we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a complimentary upgrade to a better room without having to make any request for it, and were also given complimentary champagne).
House-keeping service was however a little inconsistent, albeit the room was generally clean and neat: On the first day, we had an endless supply of drinking water, replacement of fresh towels and toiletteries - the room and bathroom appeared to have been cleaned more than once; but on the second day, it was cleaned only once and we had to request for clean towels and more toilet paper which had already run out the night before.
The buffet breakfast, while substantial was nothing to shout about, but certainly good value for money.
On the whole, we had a good experience there and would return.
