Staff on receception very unfriendly. Would only give me one room key, despite both my wife and i occupying the room. Hotel and room was clean, but some areas are in need of refurbishment. Yes value for money, but I did not like the unfriendly staff on check in and was not able to have a second room key for my wife, so probably would not stay there again. Regards Sven Neuberg

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel....
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location for patpong is great. Breakfast was not as good as some hotels of the same price range. I would stay here again.

If this hotel doesn't begin full scale...
If this hotel doesn't begin full scale renovations within a year, it should lose it's Ramada branding. I've stayed at this hotel before and chose it because of the convenient location. The hotel is the very embodiment of seediness. It doesn't look like it's been updated since it opened. The breakfast buffet was excellent with enough variety one wouldn't get tired of it over a period of several days. The pool is in the shadow of the hotel and other buildings for all but about 2 or 3 hours during the day.

Location was very good. The room was realy lovely, breakfast was excellent. The staff was so nice and helpful and always there but not intrusive. I do recomend this hotel!

Location is very good and conveniently located...
Location is very good and conveniently located in the heart of Patpong and Silom. But to bring a guest to your room after 6 pm cost me 950 Baht! For securitiy reasons? The hotel can simply retain the identity card of the guest. I was given a room with 2 single beds. I was not even asked my preference when I check in at the reception... Also, when I put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door, the housekeeper will give a phonecall to ask if I want them to clean the room now??!! Isn't this a kind of disturbance too?? I was still sleeping... I will not stay in this hotel again despite its good location.   Limousine service to airport cost me 1000 Baht!

Very happy with the Hotel and staff.I...
Very happy with the Hotel and staff.I booked very late and got a refurbished smoking room which was changed to a non-smoking for the next night.This was a little dated but clean and a good size.They charge for the use of the safe in the rooms but is free at the reception safe.Hotel food was good.Very close to night life,markets and Sky train.Definately would stay here again.Booking through Asiarooms was excellent.

This is a real 4 star hotel. ...
This is a real 4 star hotel.  The rooms are great and the service excellent.  This room would cost twice the price in the USA.  The only problem is for the single guy who may be bringing a guest to the hotel.  They discourage this.  It is a family hotel.

Accross the following categories I would rate...
Accross the following categories I would rate the Tawana Ramada as Follows: Location: 10/10 - 2 mins walk to Patpong, 5 mins walk to BTS, 5 mins to Siam Sq on BTS, 5 mins walk to the Pasteur Institute (Snake Farm). Customer Service: 9/10 - Know how to look after you. Nothing is ever too much bother. Breakfast:  8/10 - Good in relative terms for SE Asia. Impossible to get a Fry up as good as back home. Rooms & General Environment: 8/10 - Clean, spacious and well maintained. Overall rating : 9/10. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is better than many 4 star hotels I've stayed at in London. If acess to bars, restaurants and nightlife is an important factor to you, you will love this place. Have a great time out there, Raj & Carl
