I have stayed at the Unico Silom a number of times.
Last time I decided to try an 'executive' room.
No difference except that there was a toothbrush and paste in the bathroom. The plastic shaver as dangerous as the ones supplied in the standard rooms. Take your own.
I had to ask for a technician to quieten the airconditioner, and the TV reception was as poor as usual.
Getting a little tired of the air con problems. Every time I have stayed at the Unico the past few months I have been given a room with air conditioner problems.
More care and courtesy needs to be extended to regualar customers!! One or two of the reception staff could do with some extra PR training too.

I booked their standard room and I got an upgrade to a premium room at my arrival. Therefore the Price/Performance relation was absolutely great.

This is not the first time i have stayed at the Grand Unico,although this time i had a deluxe room on the 16th floor, which is more grand than the 11,12 and 13th floors that i usually stay on.The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool and roof terrace are a bonus. I also like the proximity to the BTS station (Chong Nons.

Then for breakfast, cross the road and go into the Narai hotel. They do a great buffet breakfast for 250 Baht. Breakfast in the Unico costs 400 Baht.

We stayed at this hotel and the room we had was amazing, but we went for a meal on the rooftop and we were very disappointed they did not have a lot on the menu and it was very expensive, whilst we were eating our meal the waiter sat and stared at us eating our meal.

We enjoyed 2 stays in this hotel during our holiday trip in Thailand and we were very pleased with service, breakfast, location and swimmingpool facilities. Nice restaurant with delicious thai kitchen and friendly staff including great view over the city! Will definitely choose the same hotel also next time in Bangkok. Good experience and value for the money!
