Our room at this hotel was very...
Our room at this hotel was very disappointing - though spacious, it was dank and outdated in style, smelt of stale cigarettes, with stained carpets, cheap, lurid blue sateen bedcovers and a dismal grey bathroom. Everything worked - TV, shower was fine etc, but overall very depressing. The pool area was uninviting, surrounded by concrete and not doing justice to it's rooftop location. The bar in the front of the hotel was overpriced and seedy - we stopped for a much needed cold drink coming in only to realise that we were witnessing a transaction between at least 10 western men and one Thai girl. They all then went up to their 'room'. Not a pleasant first impression of Thailand having just got off the plane. The staff were mostly good however, especially the doorman who was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was quite good and the food fine, great to have the TV's showing CNN news to catch up on things after travelling a while. Location wise, Silom is pretty good, close to skytrain, night market, river/Oriental etc. But Silom Road is so busy that I wouldn't choose this location again, I would choose something in one of the quieter sois (e.g. around Soi 26) in the Sukhumvit area. The hotel is apparently being renovated over the next year and it desperately needs it. I wouldn't recommend staying there until it's done.

First time staying at this hotel, but...
First time staying at this hotel, but from the first day there everything went very well, Buffet breakfast was included and there was so much choice between American, Asian and continental. When I go back to Bangkok I will definitely stay here.

Good tourist class hotel, room clean large...
Good tourist class hotel, room clean large and comfortable, nice rooftop swimming pool, medium size Good buffet breakfast selection, pleasnat helpful staff, would definately stay there again and in a great location too.

These comments have to be pondered !!! They...
These comments have to be pondered !!! They are valid only for the rooms I was using most -which were NOT the renovated rooms!!! I was offered a renovated room on the 14th fl. -at same rate- after my coming back from outside BKK but I asked to be transfered back to the 12th or 13th floor (12A) again since the rooms there were more confortable before renovation !!! Strange enough isn't it ? The renovated Standard rooms are more expensive but LESS practical: only the small desk with mirror (instead of the big kitchen-like wall table in addition to the standard small desk with mirror in the non-renovated rooms); no electrical plug connection by the desk to connect my laptop; no telephone connection possible by the desk. Which means that for business/work purposes I would have to place my laptop on the bed to get electical supply and make my phone call from the bed. For the renovated floors (standard rooms) my overal rating is dropping to 2 smileys only and my Recommendation drops to "void" for businessmen.

I have stayed at standart room for...
I have stayed at standart room for 5 nights the room was good,the staff very nice. breakfast it's OK and could be better if they will serve some chicken(fow)too for people that not eating pork. The hotel take too much money for late check out (1000 bat), It's not justified. I will be back to this hotel if they will take less than that sum.

This hotel is pretty nice and offers a house type atmosphere....very comfortable and close distance from bts. Nice beds and I would stay here again.

This was our second stay at the...
This was our second stay at the Tower Inn. We like it for a number of reasons - huge room size with a lounge area and kitchenette, located close to the Sky Train (only way to travel in Bangkok) and it's inexpensive. The room facilities are a bit tired but servicable, the lobby has been renovated and looks great. There's plenty of variety for breakfast and the rooftop bar and dining is a great place to escape the noise, heat and pollution of Bangkok.

The room is really big and the swimming pool is also nice at the roof. But it is not as describled in Hotel's web such close sky train and it needs to walk about 10~15 mins to the sky train.

The condition of the room is clean,...
The condition of the room is clean, but some of the furnishing, e.g. the wardrobe doors, are in need of refurbishing. Overall, the room stay has been pleasant and comfortable. My only dislike is the water pressure in the bathroom bath-tub and wash basin. Most of the time, the water pressure is very low. This makes washing up difficult and tedious.
