"Suppose the built a hotel and nobody came" That pretty well sums up the Asia. It was supposed to be an upscale hotel/shopping center, but the niche wasn't there, and the shopping center has degenerated to an electronics bazaar, and the hotel is half empty and catering to backpackers and low end travelers. Still a great deal for the money, if you get the low Inet prices, but be prepared for a small bit of weirdness. Airport shuttle, BTW, only runs a few times a day, and costs considerably more that a taxi (in fact when we took it a guy from the hotel ran down the street, flagged down a couple taxis, then put us in them and charged us shuttle price!)

Good hotel for an overnight as it is close to the airport. I would recommend to a friend as an overnight stay, but for more than that, I think somewhere downtown that is closer to the toursit attractions would be better.

After spending three weeks backpacking through Vietnam, the Asia Airport Hotel was an absoulute luxury. The staff were extremely friendly and had no problems with adding an additional bed to our room which we had not notified them of previously. They even allowed me to leave some luggage there and collect it on my return. Excellent service!

If you are frequency traveller, especially if you have to take transit flight, Asia Airport Hotel is a good choice for you due to its location, price and convenience. It is not far from the Bangkok airport and it is very economical, it is just 10 min by taxi you can reach the hotel and the price there is also very reasonable compared to some other hotels near by the airport.

The hotel was nice-- the floors with the rooms seemed older but were clean. They showed movies in the lobby although HBO in the room would have been a nice touch. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was good. The complimentary shuttle to the airport ran very smoothly.
