well, not bad. breakfast is big, but they should rather concentrate on quality than quantity. the furniture could need a pep up, since it looks old and used. a big minus for the location, its just too far out. otherwise decent....

the hotel breakfast was good, but tourists have to beware of taxi drivers that stand outside- they offer to drive people to destination without meter and take them elsewhere - esp a cabbie driver called 'moo'- cab number #1005 beware of him.He is a cheat. Also, the coffee bar of the hotel is great, service is good, rooms/bathroom I will only give a 2 or 3 on 5 rating. Overall 3/5

I have been staying at Bangkok Palace...
I have been staying at Bangkok Palace Hotel for more than 30 times and I sure I would return again. I have a suggestion: would like to see another hotel side entrance or exit at the end of the coffee house (near D,Ma Hotel) for the convenience. With the side entrance, you may like to welcome more coffee house guests and room guest to use the side entrance after a return from shopping with tired leg and rest and have a drink at the coffee house.

I was pleased to find a stunning room the moment I entered my room. My wife was happy too. We just sat near the window and gazed outside for almost 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and the downstairs restaurant service was too good with exceptional food quality. Thank you very much for making our stay with you guys a memorable one.

Overall I was ery satisfied of my stay at the Bangkok Palace hotel. The ratio price / quality was very good. The choice and quality of breakfasts could be improved, however. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and acquaintances.

Background: 3 of my girl friends and I stayed in 2 connecting rooms over a 5D4N period. Service: Excellent. Everyone speaks English well and is ready with a smile. Facilities: No chance to visit the pool but we were happy with the free safety box service in the Business Center in which we can deposit our passports and go out with a peace of mind. Room: Large enough with comfortable bed and pillows. No foul smells from carpet or beddings. Just a tad dusty. Aircon is not too noisy. Bathroom: Very basic. We didn’t like the low pressure from the taps and showerheads. Some rust and broken tiles here and there. But water heats up fast enough and doesn’t stop erratically midway as tends to happen in 2-3 star hotels. Location: We love 5 things 1) walking distance to Pratunam Market, Big C and WTC, 2) nearby massage joints that open till 2am (we had a 2-hour Thai massage every night!), 3) 7-Eleven is close by to buy big bottles of mineral water home at night without the trouble of lugging them for long distances, 4) tailor shop opposite D’ma Pavilion which is good if you have enough days to wait for them to perfect your clothes after several rounds of fitting (beware: service is lousy but at least they understand English well), and 5) taxi drivers and tuk tuks are aware of the hotel so you won’t waste your time (and baht) driving around in traffic jams looking for an unknown place. However, it’s not near subway if that’s what you need. But since there are 4 of us, we take a cab or tuk tuk everywhere. Beware of the tuk tuks who are parked outside the hotel though. One tried to charge us 500baht to go to Chinatown and when we managed to hail one off the streets, we managed to bargain to 60baht. Overall – I will be back! =)

Bangkok Palace Hotel Bangkok is a hotel...
Bangkok Palace Hotel Bangkok is a hotel suitable for tourist who are looking for a hotel near to shopping centres and of easy access to attraction places. Its location are easy for tourists to get to the nearest shopping mall that is The World Trade Centre and it is accessable by all type of land transport. The hotel itself have facilities like Swimming pool that allow swimmers to have a swim after a whole day of shopping and walking. There are a Gym located next to the swimming pool that will allow some light exercises for non-swimmer. I dislike the attitude of the hotel bell-man or the lobby staffs who refuse to leave you after they have carried your luggages up to your room until you give them tips. Such behaviors and attitude should not be allow in the hotel itself as it will create a unwanted image from tourists that the hotel encourage its staffs to pester hotel guests for tips by refusing to leave after helping them with thier luggages. Isn't that what they are paid to do for hotel guests? If that is their job and why should they demand tips from hotel guests? Such behaviors ought to be correct. Or else the hotel will suffer the loss of guests due to this selfish practise. Over all experience with the hotel were great except for the tipping part. It will definitely be a great choice to choose Bangkok Palace Hotel Bangkok for your trip to Bangkok.
