This hotel not only gives terrific value for the money, but it has a location that, for the tourist, is hard to beat. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was included and it was very good with a lot of choices, including made to order omelettes. The location is just behind the Shangri-la Hotel which makes it near both extensive river transport and other major transport. The hotel staff was ok; most of the time they appeared to be trying to be helpful. Other than breakfast, facilities for eating, cocktails, etc. are minimal and not very attractive or comfortable. The cheapest rooms are small and dim. There was a pervasive odor on the ground floor, which probably came from the fact that the whole area around the hotel tended to be flooded because of the rain and bad drainage. Our room on the fourth floor did not smell, however. There are elevators. It would have been really very helpful to have had adequate computer facilities. This is an important feature for most people who are travelling. The existing facilities were not working well, very slow and expensive, considering one spent a great deal of time trying to get connected. That being said, Bossotel is still a good deal for the money, esp. for the tourist because of the location and the value for money factor.
