We book a superior room. The room...
We book a superior room. The room is spacious and nice. It surprised me with the facilities(hair-dryer +mini-bar). The view from the room is nice. Only the bathroom looks a bit "old". The location is good as near to Sathorn Pier and Saphan Taksin BTS. Just use the road beside Shangri-la's hotel and it take less than 10mins for you to reach the BTS. Taking taxi from here to Chinatown, Grand-palace and Kao-san-road (with no traffic-jam hour) will only take you about 50B~70B. We took an airport taxi to here with 450B(airport charge + toll). We make a mistake by hook on to a taxi at 8:30am.The taxi(by meter) cost us 180B to reach Grand-Place. We learn by taking orange flag boat back from N9 to N1. It only cost 13B/person. This hotel don't offer any late-checkout on weekend. So better look for others hotel if you want a late checkout.

We have found that the difference between...
We have found that the difference between the "standard" and the "superior" room is the price only. We will look for an other hotel next time.

It was nice location. We can go...
It was nice location. We can go anywhere very easily. If you go to castle, U can take a boat or BTS, whick takes within five min. Alos morning buffet was so good to eat. staff was pretty kind to us. BTW,pool size is so small. Really enjoy that. I Stayed deluxe room which is so clean n comfortable as well as view also cool. I would like to recommend this hotel for couple.

I see the door and the wall...
I see the door and the wall have a little bit old , and there is no slipper and hair dryer providing for custom. I hope i can see u to make more progress in next time.

We had some hipcups in the room...
We had some hipcups in the room given to us. 1st room,there was bedbug & after moving us the next room the tap was spoilt the water was dripping when using the sink. As it was past midnight, we decided to rest & ask for a change the next day. The reception managed to give us a room near the lift which was OK for the next 3 days stay there. The hotel is Ok for the $$ we paid. Near the BTS & Pier. If you are using the SPA/Massage Service do tell them you are the hotel guest because there is 10% discount given. If not no discount.

I was travelling through south east asia...
I was travelling through south east asia with my boyfriend on a budget holiday, but this was by far the cheapest hotel we stayed in. It exceeded our expectations. The room was large, comfortable and in a convenient location. The bathroom was dated, but clean. It is within easy walking distance to the taxi ferry stop (next to the Oriental) and the skytrain. We walked 2 minutes to the Shang-ri-la a couple of times for food & beverage, which is a very relaxing spot, that we got to enjoy without the expensive price for the room. Overall, I would definitely (& have already) recommended this hotel to travellers on a budget, but not if you are expecting any luxury. For what you pay, you get a large clean room, with a nice breakfast in a great location. No Frills.

The room that I got after checked...
The room that I got after checked in had problem.It was very hot and no air or cool. Anyway, the hotel moved me to other room after can not fix it. It's great!!! For a few days, I was in the room. The problem with TV It might cable broke then channel will gone for a while but often. So many channels to watch that great. Location not bad to have local food or eather small market or department store. Breakfast is good. Overall, quite good for budget hotel.

Having never used Asia Rooms before we...
Having never used Asia Rooms before we were a little apprehensive about what may await us in Bangkok. We were very pleased with our booking. The location of the hotel was great - a stone's throw from the Shangri La and therefore very near the river and Sky Train. The hotel itself was very good for the price of the rooms. We stayed in a standard room and it was adequate for our short stay in Bangkok - clean and welcoming. The staff were very efficient and brought us a welcome drink whilst we were checking in. The restaurant food was good as was the varied breakfast. Would stay there again.
