I enjoyed my staying at the Holiday Inn Silom Plaza Hotel. Location is very convinient, hotel facilities, the outdoor pool and the exercise room. Breakfast was reach and good. Housekeeping staff was friendly and effecient Concierge staff and doormen were very helpful.

Room was well presented ,everything was very clean ,staff very freindly and helpfull.Staff at check in desk very helpfull. Holiday Inn Silom Plaza Hotel was very close to sky rail and silom rd shopping district .I thought have the dressing gowns in the wardrobe was a nice touch
If you check in using a voiucher...
If you check in using a voiucher from an Internet site, the hotel will make if abundantly clear that you are the "poor relatives" coming to town. When I prodiced the voucher, the clerks's smile disappeared and I was told I was causing a problem because I was taking a low-priced room when the hotel was otherwise fully booked, i.e. they could have gotten more money for the room. No fruit basket and no newspaper in the morning, not the slightest extension on the noon check-out and a really below-par breakfast, cold fried eggs and warm juice were the high points, all point to the fact that there are nicer rooms and better service to be found in the Silom area.

Nice hotel, great room, comfortable bed, and wonderful buffets.
But its' a shame no satellite/cable movie channel is available, it's only expensive pay per view in house. And the swimming-pool/fitness club need an urgent renovation.

I had a great time at the hotel. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. A outstanding view of the city, and the people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good about a 9 from 1-10. There was even a free show with traditional THI dancers while I was there. The expense of the hotel was justified for the great service, and breakfast. However, you may want to consider doing your laundry somewhere other than the hotel... I had the service done to my clothes at a price of 150 USD which was really really steep. But the clothes were clean and ironed... I only had about 7 chances of clothes to be done!!! WOW!!

I was just staying in the hotel for a place to sleep that is close to other friends at the Shangri La, Oriental and Peninsula, but for much less. Great hotel but best of all, great service. My wife and I lost our paintings that we purchased in Siem Reap by leaving them on Bangkok Airways. When the manager found out about this predicament, he instructed his staff to take care of contacting the airport & Bangkok Airlines while we toured Bangkok. Everyone smiled and said "Hello!" at every area of the hotel, from the swimming pool, restuarants & front desk staff. Great hotel, we will definitely be back.
