Amenities are no good, especially shampoo&conditiner. Please use ones with quality. Concierge is poor. There are few who understand English perfectly. I ordered something, and the concierge changed 3 times.

Great hotel, would recommend to anyone travelling to Bangkok. Very nice rooms (stayed at the main wing) and helpful staff. Excelllent pool and fitness centre. Breakfast has improved since my last stay in 2003. Room service is also highly recommneded! Good location with skytrain easy to reach.

I treated myself to the Diplomat suite for 2 days and what a treat it was. Loved the Jacuzzui and Sauna Very well appointed and I love having a stereo in the room. Always stay in the Davis when in Bangkok and the service is always first class. Bad point is in the suite they do not have black out curtains only blinds so the sun shines in first things and wakes you up. Not enough to put me off staying there.

We were lucky enough to get an upgrade, the room was amazing and very spacious. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom had separate shower and a deep bath perfect for honeymooners. Breakfast buffet was of good standard and fresh. The Davis is a boutique hotel which I prefer over the huge hotel chains which can be impersonable sometimes. The hotel was also in good location. Our experience with the Davis was a very positive one and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Lovely hotel with efficient and friendly staff...
Lovely hotel with efficient and friendly staff who tried to help out without hesitation. I know Bkk quite well so am able to get around but the hotel was a little off the beaten track. The Tut Tut could be made more available to residents actual needs and ot such a strict timetable. Plenty of facilities in the local area. Massages were of a high quality and most relaxing. Swimming pool area a little small for the size of hotel. An enjoyable stay. Crimbles gail

Stayed in the hotel twice this year...
Stayed in the hotel twice this year and must say the rooms are great! Only grouse is that the second time around my non-smoking room smelt that someone had been smoking there but not really within Davis' control I guess. For the corner wing room, my kids' room aircon wasn't working properly so wasn't as cold as it shld be but with kids it was ok. Apart from this, the hotel rooms were excellent and easily 4 star +, at a value far superior than other hotels of the smae price range. Facilities-wise not much, but consistent with a boutique hotel. Location was further away from shopping district than was convenient during rush hours. Main grouse was slow service. Getting the front desk to send up our bags/shopping deliveries was so slow that we ended up doing it ourselves!

We stayed in the Davis of the first 3 nights of our honeymoon, and it was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly, location good and decor beautiful. The spa was expensive, as was food, so walk down the road to good resturants and massage. Go to "if it swims we have it" seafood resturant and amazing culinary experience just 5 mins walk down the road form the Davis.

I went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket,...
I went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hong Kong. By far the Davis Bangkok was my favorite hotel out of all the hotels. The Davis Bangkok service was great. Everyone was very NICE and helpful. For the price of $100 us dollars for a basic room with no upgrades it was definitely a very nice room. My girlfriend upgraded well worth the room had all wooden floors with canopy style beds.. I definately stay here again!!! Also, cousin stayed at the Shangri-La it was a nice suite for double the price but it didn’t feel like a boutique hotel. The Davis Bangkok was known as one of the first boutique hotels to open in Thailand. It has been recommended in many magazines. I would compare it to W hotel or Kimpton hotels in the U.S. Also, if you get to meet Piya, the bell man, my husband and I felt he was very helpful when we needed to get taxis or any questions we may have on places to go. I was very pleased they had a great massage place right next door called the Living Room cheap around $8 dollars and a Starbucks right next to it for all you Starbucks fanatics like my girlfriend. Also, they recommended 2 restaurants that I loved one was cheap, BEST thai cuisine, and nice restaurant called Baan Khanita and the other one is a little pricey but atmosphere was awesome it was in a beautiful tree house. One was Indian restaurant (hazara) and the other was Thai restaurant (Lan Na Thai). This was called the Face Bangkok.
