I went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Hong Kong. By far the Davis Bangkok was my favorite hotel out of all the hotels. The Davis Bangkok service was great. Everyone was very NICE and helpful. For the price of $100 us dollars for a basic room with no upgrades it was definitely a very nice room. My girlfriend upgraded well worth the room had all wooden floors with canopy style beds.. I definately stay here again!!! Also, cousin stayed at the Shangri-La it was a nice suite for double the price but it didn’t feel like a boutique hotel. The Davis Bangkok was known as one of the first boutique hotels to open in Thailand. It has been recommended in many magazines. I would compare it to W hotel or Kimpton hotels in the U.S. Also, if you get to meet Piya, the bell man, my husband and I felt he was very helpful when we needed to get taxis or any questions we may have on places to go. I was very pleased they had a great massage place right next door called the Living Room cheap around $8 dollars and a Starbucks right next to it for all you Starbucks fanatics like my girlfriend. Also, they recommended 2 restaurants that I loved one was cheap, BEST thai cuisine, and nice restaurant called Baan Khanita and the other one is a little pricey but atmosphere was awesome it was in a beautiful tree house. One was Indian restaurant (hazara) and the other was Thai restaurant (Lan Na Thai). This was called the Face Bangkok.
